So, we think for the price it has, this is a great deal and exceptional value. What made this Thermaltake gaming PC stand out for us
The hardware of this gaming PC, considering the price tag, is impressive, and we believe it should deliver excellent performance and value. The RTX 5070 can easily handle gaming at 1440p, as we’ve reviewed the ASUS TUF RTX 5070 OC and the MSI Gaming Trio RTX 5070 OC. You should be able to push some titles at 4K like Doom Eternal, Counter-Strike 2, DOTA, and the likes, but for games that are more graphically demanding you’ll need to leverage DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation.
For example, Cyberpunk 2077 ran at 4K with 48 FPS, and with ray tracing overdrive part of the equation, we saw it drop to 9 FPS. This is where we turned on DLSS 4 to Performance mode and MFG to 4X and saw the framerate shoot up to 121 FPS with the MSI variant. Although the output may not be the same for you, as the tested variants were overclocked, you can still easily tune your GPU to achieve better performance.
Complementing this GPU is the Intel Core i7-14700F, a 20-core, 28-thread processor that can run at 5.4 GHz. It is also very efficient with a base TDP of 65W, but it can ramp up to 219W depending on the workload. This firepower should be enough for casual and demanding workflows, enabling this PC to handle pretty much anything you can throw at it.
This prebuilt PC also comes with a B760 motherboard, 32GB DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD. This is decent for a mid-range offering, but we’d recommend you also check out the best Prime Day storage deals to score a higher-capacity SSD for less. We think that 1TB isn’t a lot considering the file size of modern games and applications, and having a better SSD from the get-go can eliminate any storage issues that might appear in the future.
Is this a good deal?
At this price, we think this is a great gaming PC for everyday and demanding gaming and working sessions. The only downside we see is the 1TB SSD, and this offer is exclusive to Prime members. However, if you are a Prime member and were looking for an option in this price range, we’d highly recommend considering this seriously.
Thermaltake is a big name, and a gaming PC built by it should deliver the quality and performance it is known for. While Ryzen-based gaming PCs are more appealing, this setup remains valid in the modern landscape and is worth considering.
