Excellent mid-range RTX 5070 Ti, 275HX gaming laptop receives a decent price cut
Table of Contents
The Acer Predator Helios Neo 16″ gaming laptop was stopped on Amazon with a humble 5% price cut, weeks ahead of Black Friday sales. So, if you were browsing for a new gaming laptop, we recommend you check out this one. It features an RTX 5070 Ti and a Core Ultra 9 275HX processor.
The original price tag of this laptop was $2,049.99, but with this offer, you can get your hands on it for $1,939.99. This isn’t the best price drop we’ve seen, but you can try waiting for Black Friday for a better deal. That being said, only one unit is left in stock, so it might go out of stock, but during the holiday sales, there are bound to be other similar or better deals up for grabs.
Acer Predator Helios Neo 16″ WQXGA 240Hz AI Gaming Laptop

- Better options available
What made this gaming laptop stand out
This gaming laptop has the Core Ultra 9 275HX powering various operations, meaning if you’ve got tasks like video editing, 3D rendering, or data compression, you shouldn’t be stuck with slow processing, as it is a powerful processor. It should also be great for gaming, as with the RTX 5070 Ti, you’ll be gaming at 1440p since it has a WQXGA resolution, and there should be no CPU bottleneck holding the GPU back.
That being said, the RTX 5070 Ti can play games at 4K, but you’ll be limited to 2560 x 1600 with this laptop due to its display. However, the 16:10 aspect ratio and 240Hz refresh rate should make gaming and working better and smoother. Since the graphics card would be churning out higher frames, the 240Hz panel would be able to cater to it, hence the smoother experience.
Besides that, it has decent output, but with only 16GB RAM and a 1TB SSD, we think these components could’ve been better, as even lower-priced offerings have at least 32GB RAM, and some even offer a 2TB SSD. So, this is something that will most likely be a deal breaker for most. While you can upgrade it, since this laptop costs close to $2,000, spending more on it doesn’t make sense.
Is this a good deal?
The processor and graphics card of this gaming laptop are top-notch and shouldn’t give any trouble when it comes to gaming and working. However, the RAM and storage are something that stood out a bit too much, and not in a good way. For the price, it doesn’t make sense to go for a laptop that only offers 16GB RAM and 1TB of storage, because for less, you can get a much better gaming laptop with an OLED panel and better specifications. So, because of this, this gaming laptop falls by a good couple of levels and would need a greater price cut to be considered a good deal.
