The 7800X3D managed 8,446 points in the Puget Systems Photoshop test and 17,581 points in the Cinebench R23 multi-core test. While this is good, compared to the “X” processors’ output, this wasn’t the best, and that is why the 7800X3D wasn’t considered for resource-intensive workflows.
However, that doesn’t mean that this CPU isn’t up for the challenge, and you should be able to get good productivity out of it in tasks like video editing and more. Complementing its performance is the RTX 5070, and we’ve tested two variants: ASUS TUF RTX 5070 OC and MSI Trio RTX 5070 OC.
These graphics cards are neck and neck in gaming and productivity. For example, we got 169, 108, and 48 FPS with the former at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K in Cyberpunk 2077 and 167, 107, and 48 FPS with the latter. They are similar, and playing at 1440p is recommended, but you can use DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation to get a better gaming output.
This gaming PC also comes with a 2TB SSD, which you can use as your primary storage, and a 6TB HDD. Since hard drives are slower, you can use them to store project files or data that isn’t needed every day. You’ll also get 64GB DDR5 RAM, which should ensure smooth processing in a number of tasks and promote great multitasking.
Should you get this gaming PC?
Considering the price of this gaming PC, it is one of the best options we’ve seen on sale and is the perfect mid-range gaming PC. You should have no issues tackling any modern AAA title with this setup, while the system memory and storage should ensure a smooth and stable performance across the board.
The only downside is the white PC case, but that isn’t a big issue, and all you’ll need to do is keep it clean. The 360mm AIO cooler is also a great addition even though the 7800X3D doesn’t run hot but it is nice to have.
