Key features of this LG 27-inch Ultragear OLED monitor
Display
This monitor comes in a 27-inch with QHD resolution, which is the ideal size for making 1440p look crisp and clear, without the expense of 4K. It’s an OLED display, you’re getting impressive color and contrast. In this case, you’ve got 99.5% DCI-P3 color, infinite contrast ratio, and a VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 rating, given only to monitors that are exceptional when it comes to HDR performance.
Gaming features
This is a pretty punch monitor for gaming, featuring a very high 280Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, and FreeSync Premium Pro. All of these together result in something that can handle very high framerates, with little motion blur and ghosting, in addition to significantly reducing stutter and screen tearing, even with HDR gaming. As with other LG Ultragear monitors, you’ve also got some added features like Black Stablizer to give you a competitive edge when gaming by revealing details in dark areas without overexposing lighter areas.
Design
One of the best-looking gaming monitors we’ve come across, this display is virtually borderless, has a matte black finish, and is ultra-thin. Its stand is fully adjustable, with a smaller, space-saving foot base, and it’s also VESA mount compatible, too. There’s even a touch of RGB backlighting, a touchscreen OSD interface, and built-in cable management.

Considerations and alternatives
Honestly, for the price, this is a pretty great monitor that would suit any 1440p gaming setup. The only real consideration is whether you need something with an even higher refresh rate, as there are some options available that are QHD and 360Hz. Some games in particular are best played at seriously high framerates, and if you’re a competitive gamer, it’s worth having the option to push 300+ fps, too. For the price, they’re not a million miles away from this one, especially when discounted.
