Cyber Monday is well underway, and there’s not long left to save big on a wide range of PC hardware, wider tech, or just about anything else you can think of. We’ve come across this neat GMKtec mini PC that offers excellent value for money. It’s also great for lightweight gaming, and it comes with 32GB of DDR5 RAM – for cheaper than many 32GB kits right now, given the RAM price hikes that PC builds have battled with recently.

The mini PC ideal is usually listed on Amazon for $659.99, but with a Cyber Monday deal in effect, you can get it for just $429.99. This 35% discount is a fantastic price if you’re looking for a cheap miniature machine with a wide range of compatibility, including support for HDMI 2.1 (up to 8K 60Hz output) and WiFi 6E & Bluetooth 5.2 wireless connectivity.

GMKtec Mini PC Gaming (AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U)

AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U 32GB DDR5 1TB PCle SSD Intel I226V Dual NIC LAN 2.5G Desktop Oculink Computer, Dual USB4, HDMI 2.1, USB-C M7 Ultra

Why you should consider this mini PC from GMKtec

It goes without saying that a mini PC isn’t for everyone. You can’t expect high-end performance for a device like this, but it definitely packs a punch for its size.

Compact size with Ryzen 7 processing power

This is a Ryzen-powered PC, specifically the AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 6850U, which is equipped with 8 cores, 16 threads, and a 4.7GHz boost clock speed. It’s an ideal mobile chip for everyday use, whether you’re using it for work, school, or casual gaming. The compact size also makes it a fantastic device as a home theater PC (HTPC), and it’s easily portable.

Nice for lightweight gaming

AMD’s Ryzen CPU comes with integrated Radeon 680M graphics. That’s the same iGPU that you’ll find in some PC gaming handhelds, and is “close to that of a full NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti,” according to GMKtec. That makes it more powerful than a Steam Deck, comparatively. Obviously, you can’t expect super high-end gaming, but it’s a great machine for lightweight games – we could easily run games like Hades 2 on integrated graphics, and it will be enough for esports games like Valorant.

It’s a cheap, lightweight Windows 11 machine

With the recent end-of-life status for Windows 10 (outside of the security updates extension), this could be an ideal upgrade for anyone on an aging PC that isn’t good enough for Windows 11. The GMKtec Mini PC comes with a fast 1TB SSD, dual USB4 USB-C video output, and three performance modes to cater to your needs (Quiet 35W, Balance 50W, and Performance 65W-70W).

Is this mini PC deal worth it?

We have to say that it’s definitely worth your purchase if you’re in the market for a mini PC right now. It boasts many great user reviews; several users recommend it as a useful replacement for old, outdated Windows 10 machines that don’t meet the minimum requirements for Windows 11.

GMKtec’s mini PC features 32GB of DDR5 RAM (4800MHz), which these days retails in the region of $200 (see below). Considering that, all the specs you get in this mini PC seem like a steal. It’s also worth noting that faster 6000-6400MHz speeds can cost you upwards of $400 for 32GB DDR5, so this is a cheap alternative if you want to upgrade to DDR5 hardware.
