PNY RTX 5080 performance

We haven’t tested the PNY RTX 5080 in-house, but we have reviewed the RTX 5080 FE and the ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080 OC. Since the latter is overclocked, we’ll showcase the real-world benchmarks of the former to give you an idea of what to expect from the PNY RTX 5080.

Gaming

This GPU, paired with the 9800X3D, managed to churn out excellent gaming performance in all the games we ran. We got 188 FPS at 4K in Counter-Strike 2, 72 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077, and 181 FPS in Shadow of the Tomb Raider with 4K ray tracing and DLSS 4 set to performance mode.

So, what this means is that it can handle any AAA title at native 4K, but even if you max out the settings with ray tracing enabled, with DLSS 4 and MFG, you can easily give it a substantial boost.

Deals season is here folks, and with it comes a plethora of eye-catching price cuts on some of the industry's most popular tech. Below are some of the best deals you can find right now.

Synthetic

When it came to synthetic testing, we weren’t surprised to see that this GPU blew past all the tests we put it through. In the 3DMark suite, it was leagues above the RTX 4080, and in the Blender and Geekbench 6 tests, it showcased excellent performance. We got 4,462.60 points in Blender Monster, and the 4080 managed 4,302.36 points.

In the OpenCL and Vulkan tests, this card delivered 266,995 and 267,208 points, respectively, while its predecessor trailed behind with 256,062 and 218,266 points in the same tests.

Who’s this deal for?

The RTX 5080 is an excellent 4K graphics card, and anyone who had their eyes on one, we highly recommend going for this deal because it is the closest to its MSRP. This GPU is not only excellent for gaming, but also for workflows like 3D rendering, training AI, and ML models, making it easy to use for these tasks.

The inclusion of DLSS 4 and MFG gives it a huge benefit when it comes to gaming, as you can easily max out the in-game settings without worrying about running into frame drops or stuttering issues, as this card can handle everything you throw at it.
