Great for 1080p gaming, this RTX 40-series Acer Nitro laptop has plunged to its lowest price ever
Table of Contents
A recent Amazon deal has plummeted the price of an excellent RTX 4060 gaming laptop to its lowest ever, making it a brilliant time to buy. This Acer Nitro gaming laptop was $1,249.99 and has now dropped to $1,099.99, saving you a solid $150.
This is the type of laptop that’s going to be great for 1080p gaming at high-settings, and for those who enjoy more competitive, fast-paced titles. It also packs a pretty capable CPU with AI features, making it an excellent option for handling heavier workloads too.

What we like about this Acer Nitro 14 gaming laptop
If I were to go for a good gaming laptop, without spending too much, I’d head towards either the Acer Nitro range or ASUS TUF Gaming line. Acer Nitro gaming laptops, like this, offer high-end components for a great price, but slightly scale back on some of the fancier bells and whistles when it comes to design. This makes them more accessible from a budget perspective, and a great first-time buy too.
This particular laptop has an impressive screen, powerful 40-series GPU, excellent Ryzen mobile processor, and a decent amount of RAM to boot, making it a solid choice for 1080p gaming and more.
- Powerful GPU: The RTX 4060 mobile is one of the best choices for more affordable gaming laptops, and is more than capable at handling AAA games in FHD.
- Excellent CPU: The Ryzen 7 8845HS is a pretty powerful processor, boasting 8 cores, 16 threads, a max boost clock of 5.1 Ghz, L3 cache of 16MB and a TDP of 45W. Al-in-all, it’s good for gaming and multi-tasking.
- Impressive screen: FHD and 120hz, which allows for high frames per second gaming. Also 100% sRGB, which is pretty decent, but nowhere near laptops for creative professionals.
- Okay storage: Coming in at 512GB, this is on the lower end, but should house around 4 to 5 AAA-titles. I’d recommend upgrading with a cheap NVMe SSD when you get the chance.
- Fastest RAM: 16GB of DDR5 RAM in here, which is around twice the speed of DDR4.
Who’s this laptop deal for and is it the best time to buy?
This gaming laptop would make a great first-time buy for most people, especially those who aren’t too interesting in going for something under $1000, which tend to be either RTX 2050, 3050, and 4050 models, all of which are a little lacklustre in my opinion.
For the price, it’s a good option, although I’d highly recommend address the internal storage limitations if you plan on building a vast gaming library, as this will get filled up quickly.
It’s also absolutely the best time to buy this laptop if you’re interested. As you can see from the graph above, it’s hit its lowest ever price, and dropped by some way too.
