High Max boost: This CPU has a 5.7 GHz max boost, which is up there with the best CPUs around, making it very capable of keeping up with the best graphics cards on the market. It can even be over-clocked if you want to get even more out of it.
AM5 socket: If you’re looking for the very top-end components for your build, you’ll want to focus on AM5 compatibiliy. AM5 builds can gain access to the latest RAM (DDR5) which is about twice as fast as DDR4. It can also give you access to PCIe 5.0, which offers double the bandwidth of PCI 4.0. This is great for faster transfer speed and ensures compatibility with future GPU releases too. It’s not for everyone, mind you, but if you’re an enthusiast – having this CPU at the heart of your build is a great way to go.
12 cores and 24 threads: This is fantastic for multi-tasking, such as gaming, streaming, or vide-editing. There are other options, such as the X3D version of this CPU, that are designed more for gaming performance, but you’ll have to pay a premium for this for sure.
Low TDP: This CPU is very power-efficient, coming in with a low TDP of 170W. It’ll require a decent cooling setup, but for a higher-end CPU this is actually very impressive, and should keep it operating optimally even under heavy use.
