What we like about this Thermaltake LCGS View gaming PC
Excellent card for 1440p and 4K
The RTX 5070 Ti is one of the best graphics cards you can get if you’re looking to keep your budget in the mid-range, want something that will excel at 1440p, but still want the option for 4K, too. It comes in at around $250 cheaper than the RTX 5080, and features a decent 8960 CUDA cores, 16GB of new and improved GDDR7 VRAM, and a 256-bit bus. It also boasts new Blackwell Architecture features, such as DLSS 4 and MFG, which can both be used to dramatically improve performance, particularly if you’re using this card for 4K. It’s also good for heavy-duty creative tasks, like high-resolution video editing, and its fifth-gen Tensor cores and higher AI throughput make it great for running AI tasks, too.
Very high-end 14th-gen Intel processor
This build ops for the very impressive Intel Core i9-14900KF, which is still one of the best CPUs around, and often still the go-to for gaming over the more recent Intel Core Ultra releases. It features a much higher core and thread count than you typical X3D model, also coming in at 24 cores and 32 threads, which makes it a preferred choice for multitasking and heavy-duty productivity. On top of that, it can boost to 5.8GHz, which is great for both CPU-intensive tasks like rendering and gaming at high settings and framerates. It also features a substantial 36MB L3 cache, which may not be as large as most X3D’s, but is still big enough to ensure solid gaming performance.
Large SSD and high-speed RAM
You’ve got a large 2TB SSD in this build, which is ideal for the type of usage this PC would be best for, which is both gaming and content creation. This will allow you to store loads of games, but also save video footage and other large files without needing to upgrade anytime soon. It also has very fast 6400Mhz DDR5 RAM, and 32GB of it, too. That’s going to be great for optimizing workflows and reducing slowdowns when you’re running multiple applications at once. It’s also going to be good for gaming, especially if you’re playing open-world games.
How will this PC perform?
When it comes to performance, we’d advise checking out some other reviews to get a better idea, as we haven’t yet got our hands on an RTX 5070 Ti to test ourselves. However, to give you an idea, one benchmark had it achieve 60fps at 1440p, with ray tracing enabled in Cyberpunk 2077, and 94fps with DLSS 4 enabled, which is pretty impressive considering how demanding that game is to run. Indiana Jones was playable at 123fps at 1440p, ultra settings, which is also very impressive, as this game is very demanding on both the GPU and RAM. And with Doom Eternal, where we typically see very high fps even with ray tracing, the RTX 5070 Ti achieved a massive 332 fps at 1440p, ultra settings, with ray tracing enabled.
