CyberPowerPC Gaming PC (9900X3D, RTX 5080)
Why you should check out this monstrous gaming PC
Ryzen 9 9900X3D
The Ryzen 9 9900X3D is a 12-core and 24-thread processor with a boost clock speed of 5.5GHz. However, the most impressive aspect is the insane 128MB L3 cache. This is what gives the X3D processors groundbreaking gaming performance and gives the CPU a much larger pool of data close to the cores, enabling super-fast and efficient processing. However, that doesn’t mean that the Zen 5 cores are just for show, as they can handle heavy multitasking and resource-heavy processing with ease, such as video editing, 3D rendering, content creation, simulations, and more.
RTX 5080
The RTX 5080 pushes this build into 4K territory. Native 4K gaming doesn’t even make it break a sweat with its 10,752 CUDA cores and 16GB GDDR7 VRAM. It has a 960GB/s bandwidth, which allows this card to handle high-resolution textures without any bottlenecks. High-refresh-rate 1440p gaming is also part of the package if you have a 240Hz, 280Hz, or 300Hz gaming monitor. Check out our RTX 5080 FE, ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5080 OC, and the ASUS RTX 5080 Noctua OC Edition.
On top of that, the 4th-gen RT cores handle reflections, shadows, global illumination, and path tracing much better than previous iterations, bringing single-player, graphics-reliant titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Black Myth: Wukong, RDR2, etc, to life. That being said, even if the frames start to dip, DLSS 4.5 and MFG enable this card to churn out an outstanding gaming performance even if you have ray tracing turned to overdrive.
B850 motherboard
A B850 motherboard is the foundation of this gaming PC, and based on the AM5 platform, it is perfect for the Ryzen 9 9900X3D. This will give you PCIe 5.0 support for the GPU, at least, if not for the storage device. Besides that, you can push the 32GB DDR5 RAM with AMD Expo for a quick performance and efficiency boost. Depending on the model, which isn’t clear, a robust VRM solution is all you need for this pairing to get the most out of it, that is, if you don’t want to push heavy overclocking.
Accompanying gaming mouse and keyboard
This gaming PC is paired with a gaming mouse and keyboard, which add more value to this deal. You might not use these if you already have these peripherals, but for first-time buyers, it will help save cost. You can get started right out the gate even though they might not be high-end offerings.
32GB DDR5 RAM and 2TB SSD
32GB DDR5 RAM is a very good and sensible capacity for a modern gaming PC. It gives you enough space for AAA gaming, Discord, browsing, gaming, streaming, content creation, and more. The overall, performance would be best with 6,000 MHz, as that is considered the sweet spot for AM5 processors. Combined with the 9900X3D, this will ensure high and stable FPS, and you can overclock the RAM with EXPO.
Modern games and applications can be storage hogs and easily take 100GB+ so starting out with a 2TB SSD is a good call. This will give you enough space for all this, excluding the operating system, while providing fast boot, load, and access times.
