Before we get into the performance, we’d like to share that fundamentally all GPUs of a particular lineup are the same as they have the same VRAM, die, and other aspects. The only difference between third-party variants is design, size, cooling solution, and custom overclocking.
That being said, we haven’t tested the PNY RTX 5090 but have reviewed the MSI RTX 5090 Suprim OC. So, we’ll showcase the real-world performance of the latter to give you an idea of how powerful this GPU is.
Gaming
It only made sense to pair the best graphics card with the best processor for gaming, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Coupled with this processor, this GPU had no issues rendering native 4K frames in all the titles we ran. In Cyberpunk 2077, it managed 110 FPS and 135 FPS in F1 24. Assassin’s Creed: Mirage also breezed through with 149 FPS at ultra settings.

However, to unleash the full potential of this card, we turned the ray tracing to overdrive in Cyberpunk 2077, and while other cards could barely manage reaching 20 FPS, the RTX 5090 could still churn out 33 FPS, which isn’t the best, but better than any other GPU.
By leveraging DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation, the FPS shot up to 293 FPS, and to give you an idea, that is a 159% increment in performance.
Synthetic
It wasn’t surprising to see this GPU blazing past every synthetic test we put it through. In Blender Monster, we got 7,404.84 points, and overall, it was leagues above every other card, whether it was the 3DMark test, the Geekbench AI test, or the Geekbench 6 test. If you’ve been eyeing an RTX 5090 for a while and were waiting for the perfect opportunity to grab one, then this is the best time to do so. This is the lowest price for this variant, and as we’ve shown, its output shouldn’t disappoint for productivity and gaming.
