OLED display with DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification for lifelike picture quality
With a VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification, this OLED display delivers the goods when it comes to deep blacks, bright highlights, and broad and accurate color. Notably, it has a typical brightness of 275 nits and peak brightness of up to 1300 nits, which is seriously impressive. Its contrast ratio is also very impressive and cuts above your typical OLED monitor, as it comes in at 1.5M:1.
FreeSync Premium Pro for outstanding HDR gaming performance
FreeSync Premium Pro is a game-changer for HDR performance, as it basically reduces latency and lag that can be caused when gaming in HDR. This is essential for OLED monitors, which are designed to showcase HDR content at its best, and it’s a must-have if you’re playing games at max settings on a powerful gaming rig. You also get FreeSync Premium’s low-framerate compensation thrown in, which helps keep everything running smoothly when framerates dip below the monitor’s bottom-end refresh rate. That’s great for the FHD resolution setting, as it’s vital for competitive gaming.
Super sleek, ergonomic, and practical design
LG UltraGear is always a bit of a winner when it comes to design, as they’re super streamlined with premium build quality. This monitor is a great example of this, featuring a near borderless design, small footbase, thin profile, and fully ergonomic stand. There’s even a touch of lighting on the back, too, for some a bit more visual interest.
Who’s this gaming monitor for?
This monitor is a great way to go if you’ve got a very high-end 4K-ready gaming PC, so we’re talking like an RTX 5080 equivalent and above. If you’re splitting your time evenly between competitive gaming and 4K, then it’s great, and it’s also going to be a very good option if you’re looking for something for video editing and content creation, too, as it boasts excellent color and is large enough to accomodate multiple windows, and various creative editing tools and UI.
