Skytech gaming PCs are some of the best around, boasting quality components, cooling, and offering great bang for your buck, too. Now, over on Amazon, there’s a limited-time deal running on one of its best RTX 5080 prebuilt gaming PCs, which we think is well worth your time, especially as at the time of writing, the deal is already getting claimed. This Skytech Gaming Legacy 4 is down a massive $550, dropping its price from $3,499.99 to $2,949.99. That’s not bad at all, considering that this PC also has the new and very impressive Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, a huge 64GB of DDR5 RAM, and a large 2TB SSD. If you’re going for something that’ll handle 4K gaming at ultra settings with ease, and be excellent for productivity, or creative workflows, then this deal is a real winner in our eyes.

What we like about this Skytech Gaming Legacy 4 PC

Brilliant card for 4K gaming

The RTX 5080 is one of the best graphics cards on the market, particularly from a price-to-performance perspective, making it an excellent choice for 4K gaming. It features 16GB of new and improved GDDR7 VRAM, 10,752 CUDA cores, a 256-bit bus, and a base clock of 2295MHz/boost clock of 2617MHz. It also features 1x HDMI 2.1b and 3 x DP 2.1b, making it ideal for multi-monitor setups. This card excels at 1440p and 4K gaming at ultra settings with ray tracing, and can also utilize DLSS and MFG to boost performance further. Overall, it’s a very powerful card and one at a far more appealing price point than the RTX 5090.

Top-tier Intel Core Ultra CPU

This PC has one of the best processors Intel has to offer, the Ultra 9 285K. This processor features a much larger core and thread count than the common X3D alternative, coming in at 24 cores and 24 threads. It also has a very high boost clock speed of 5.7GHz, which is great for gaming, as is its relatively large 36MB L3 cache. While we’d say that AMD’s Ryzen X3D models are going to be preferable for gaming, Intel’s offerings are excellent for productivity and multitasking thanks to their hybrid architecture of performance and efficiency cores. If you’re using this PC for more than just gaming, then this is a great CPU to have at your disposal.

Loads of DDR5 RAM and a large SSD

Skytech has gone for a massive 64GB of DDR5 RAM with this build, which is pretty overkill for most, but more than welcome in our eyes. It’s going to give you everything you need to be able to handle anything from heavily modded games, simulators, all the way to dealing with loads of complex data, or simply just having a load of applications running at the same time. On top of that, you’ve also got a large 2TB SSD. This will be more than enough for large gaming libraries, and could realistically hold around 15 AAA titles and still give you enough room for your other files.

Designed for optimal airflow

This particular PC case is designed for both aesthetics and functionality. It features several large vents and fans to keep the PC running cool, and does so quietly, too. In fact, Skytech is quite proud of its own cooling systems, boasting that they can keep temperatures 10% cooler than the competition.

How will this PC perform?

As usual, we’ll use our RTX 5080 testing and benchmarks to give you a rough idea of what to expect in terms of gaming performance with this build at ultra settings. Starting with Cyberpunk 2077, this card was able to get 151fps at 1440p, 68fps with ray tracing, and 72fps at 4K, 35fps with ray tracing. For Doom Eternal, it got 426fps at 1440p, 295fps with ray tracing, and 265fps at 4K, and 191fps with ray tracing. With Shadow of the Tomb Raider, it managed 251fps at 1440p, 163fps with ray tracing, followed by 138fps at 4K, and 91fps with ray tracing. Performance leaps up further when you use DLSS and MFG, as expected. With Shadow of the Tomb Raider, with 4K ray tracing and DLSS performance, it was able to reach 181fps, for instance.

Who’s this deal for?

This is an excellent PC deal to go for if you want something top-tier for 4K gaming and also very good for productivity. In terms of pricing, it’s on the more expensive side, but that’s largely down to. the newer Intel CPU and the huge amount of RAM you’re getting in this build. Overall, we think this RTX 5080 gaming PC is very competitively priced at under $3,000. Do note that at the time of writing, this limited-time deal is already getting claimed, so we’d expect it to return to full price sooner rather than later. If you’re interested, now may be one of the best times to go for it.
