Massive 52-inch LG UltraGear gaming monitor is 15% off its list price on Amazon — next-level immersion for less
Table of Contents
This huge LG 52-inch UltraGear G9 gaming monitor has a solid 15% off its list price and is coming in at $1,446.99. So what are you getting here for the price? Well, first off, it’s 5120 x 2160 resolution. I’d personally ignore the whole 5K2K thing, as it’s pretty confusing marketing terminology, in all honesty. What you’re getting here is something with more vertical space than a typical ultrawide 1440p monitor, and something incredibly wide, too. Combined with its steep 1000R curvature, strong HDR performance, and high 240Hz refresh rate, it’s the ultimate monitor for immersive gaming.
The good news is that this monitor is also primed to be an epic workstation and productivity display, too. It features USB-C with 90W PD, which is ideal for connecting laptops via a single cable for display and charging. It also has LG Switch, which allows you to easily split up your screen into up to 11 sections. With 95% DCI-P3 color, it’s also not a bad monitor for content creators, video editors, and creatives, too.

Impressive VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification
A badge of honor for picture quality, especially color, contrast, and brightness. It’s a VA panel, so it has a 4000:1 contrast ratio, which is better than most IPS alternatives. That’s great for adding a more cinematic, immersive feel to whatever you’re playing or watching.
Sized for serious immersion and productvity
52 inches is absolutely massive for a gaming monitor, and with a 1000R curve, you’re getting next-level immersion when gaming. On top of that, it essentially gives you a multi-monitor setup in one display, giving you plenty of room for multitasking.
95% DCI-P3 color closes the gap with a professional monitor
This color coverage is actually quite impressive and makes this a decent option for creatives. It may not be the same level as a professional creative monitor, but it’s closer than something with just 100% sRGB coverage, for instance.
Things to consider before buying
If you’re looking to get the most out of this monitor, you’ll need a seriously powerful graphics card, as playing at 5K2K is more demanding than 4K. You’ll be looking at a minimum of an RTX 5080 in this case. That sort of tracks with the price point here, which is certainly in the enthusiast bracket. I’d say that if you really want something that’s going to be epic for simulators, racing games, multitasking, and more, then this monitor is worth considering at its current low price.
