Mid-range Acer Nitro RTX 5070 gaming PC slashed by almost $500 in early Amazon Prime Day deal
Table of Contents
If you’re looking for an excellent RTX 50-series gaming PC for under $1500, this is the deal for you. Right now, this Acer Nitro RTX 5070 gaming PC is down almost $500 on Amazon, reducing its price from $1,899.99 to $1,405.00. That’s a very good price for something that also has a Ryzen 7 7700 processor, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and even a large 2TB NVMe SSD. Overall, we think it’s a great mid-range pick that brings a lot to the table, especially if you’re gaming in 1440p.

What we like about this Acer Nitro gaming PC
Excellent graphics card for 1440p
The RTX 5070 is a good card from a price-to-performance perspective for 1440p gaming, especially if you’re looking to grab a gaming PC that’s well under $2000. While it was suggested that it would have RTX 4090 performance before it released, from our testing, it’s a decent improvement on the RTX 4070, but doesn’t have the same 4K capabilities of the 4090. Although it can be used for 4K, it’s a much better card for 1440p, and our benchmarks of an ASUS Prime 5070 illiustrate this poiunt. AC Mirage on ultra settings saw 124fps at 144p, Doom Eternal on ultra settings saw an impressive 316fps at 1440p and 212fps with ray tracing on. Cyberpunk 2077, a particularly demanding title, saw 45fps at 1440p with ray tracing on. Overall, not too bad at all, considering this was pure raterization and not using DLSS and MFG, where we saw bigger leaps in fps, of course. For 1440p, it can handle pretty much everything you can throw at it at decent fps, however, its 12GB of VRAM may leave some wanting for higher resolutions and effects. We’d suggest exploring the RTX 5070 Ti 16GB if you want something a bit more punchy, but for most people, the 5070 is a great card to go for, that’s very cost-effective, too.
Decent CPU for gaming
The Ryzen 7 7700 released back in 2023 and it’s a good mid-range option for gaming. It boasts a fairly modest core and thread count (8 +16), a high boost clock speed of 5.3GHz, and a large 32MB L3 cache, all of which lean it more towards a gaming CPU than something for heavy multitasking. Overall, reviews of this CPU were positive on release, especially when it came to its price-to-performance ratio, the conscensus being that for a more affordable processor, you were getting a lot for your money. In a more value-driven build like this Acer Nitro PC, it makes a lot of sense.
Ample RAM and storage for the price
What’s great to see here is that you get 32GB of DDR5 RAM with this build, which is not always the case for a PC under $1500. It’s also good to see that you’ve got a 2TB SSD, which again, is not always the case with more budget-orientate prebuilds. That’s very welcome if you’re planning on using this PC for more than just gaming, for example if you’re storing 4K footage and a gaming library at the same time.
Who’s this deal for?
Coming in at under $1500, this is a great deal for anyone looking for a capable machine for 1440p gaming, who doesn’t want to pay a few hundred more for an RTX 5070 Ti alternative. We’d say that due to the 12GB of VRAM, this is going to be better for those who prefer to play games without a load of ray tracing, which would make it a great option for more competitive players who want something that can deliver very high framerates at 1440p.
