Why we liked this gaming PC deal
To begin with, we think the Core Ultra 9 285 and RTX 5070 Ti pairing is very powerful and should be able to tackle anything head-on and come out on top. We’ve reviewed the Core Ultra 9 285K, and the only difference between the two processors is that the 285 has slower clock speeds and a more efficient power draw.
This means that it should also be relatively easier to keep cool; however, you’ll also get the full arsenal of 24 cores and threads based on the Arrow Lake architecture. While these processors get a bad rep due to their gaming performance, when it comes to productivity, they are nothing to mess with, even for gaming; they should be able to hold their own at any resolution.
On the other hand, the RTX 5070 Ti is a mid-range graphics card and comes with 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM and faster cores based on the Blackwell architecture. Plenty of reviews of this GPU are available online, and all of them showcase it pushing 4K natively. In Cyberpunk 2077, it delivered 60 FPS, 51 FPS in Stalker 2, and 148 FPS in F1 24.
So, more or less, the output is consistent, but you can turn on DLSS 4 if the FPS dips below 60 for smoother gameplay. That being said, you can always stick to 1440p for a better experience.
