We’ve spotted another cracking deal from Newegg that gives you initial savings, plus even more via a promo code. Right now, this ABS Eurus Ruby RTX 5080 gaming PC is down $500, but with the extra 10% off drops another $300. This brings its price down a total of $800, from $3,499.99 to just $2,699.99, making it excellent from a price-to-performance perspective.

This PC packs a punch, too, and features one of the best gaming CPUs on the market, a hefty 2TB SSD, and high-speed DDR5 RAM to boot. This deal puts this PC into the lower price range when it comes to RTX 5080 prebuilts, but it’s every bit a high-end option in our eyes, and well worth considering while it’s still on sale.

ABS Eurus Ruby Gaming PC, AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, GeForce RTX 5080

DLSS 4 – AI-Powered Performance – 32GB DDR5 6400MHz – 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD – ER9800X3D50806

What’s in this PC?

GPU

This PC features the RTX 5080, which is probably one of the best bang-for-your-buck options you can get for 4K gaming from Nvidia right now. We’ve reviewed it here in our testing labs and put it through its paces. Like with many of the 50-series cards, it comes alive with DLSS and MFG, but we think its raw performance is a good indicator of what this card brings to the table. Generally speaking, it’s a decent improvement on the 4080 and a significant improvement on the 3080. In our benchmarking, the RTX 5080 Founders Edition was able to get 35fps at 4K, ultra settings with Ray Tracing with Cyberpunk 2077. It got 68fps with the same settings at 1440p. When we put it in DLSS performance mode with MFG x4, we saw it reach 183fps, which is seriously impressive.

CPU

The CPU here is the impressive Ryzen 7 9800X3D, which is, like the RTX 5080, one of the best price-to-performance options for demanding gaming usage you can get right now. It’s very much designed with gaming in mind, over more heavy-duty multitasking uses, and features 8 cores, 16 threads, a boost clock of 5.2GHz, and a massive 96MB L3 cache. Of course, the big thing here is its unique 3D V-cache, which essentially allows for lower frame latency when gaming and overall faster data transfer. We think it’s the top pick for the RTX 5080, putting this PC very much in the sweet spot.

Storage and RAM

This PC features a large 2TB NVMe SSD, which, for reference, could hold around twenty AAA titles. It’s the best size for most people, in our opinion, and means that you won’t find yourself needing to upgrade anytime soon. It’s a Gen4 SSD, so you’re not getting super-fast Gen5 speeds, but from our research, it looks like its read/ write speeds are around the 6000mb/s mark, which is not bad at all.

The RAM here is your typical DDR5 offering, this time from Team T-Force Delta, which is a good brand to go for. It has 32GB, which is again ample for most people, and higher-end memory speeds of 6400Mhz. That’s on the upper-end for most RTX 5080 builds and very good for the price-point.

Who’s this deal for?

With the discount and extra savings on top, this is a very good deal for those looking for high-end gaming performance for a price that’s on the lower end of where you’d typically find RTX 5080 gaming PCs. ABS also has an excellent reputation for quality and performance, and is a popular choice for many.

If the price tag is still a little steep, you may want to consider an RTX 5070Ti gaming PC instead, many of which can be found around the $1800 mark, when discounted. They’re going to be good for 1440p, mostly; however, with DLSS and MFG they can be used for 4K, too.
