ABS Aeolian Ruby Gaming PC – GeForce RTX 5070 Ti
What we like about this ABS Aeolian Ruby gaming PC
Excellent card for 1440p and 4K
If you want something very good for 1440p and decent for 4K, if you tweak the settings a bit, then you’ll want to go for an RTX 5070 Ti 16GB. It’s a big improvement on the RTX 5070, boasting more RAM, cores, and a bigger bus width, making it far better when it comes to handling higher resolutions and textures. It’s built on NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture, which means that, unlike the 40-series, you’re getting access to some newer features, such as higher bandwidth and faster VRAM GDDR7 VRAM. You’ve also got AI features, such as DLSS 4 and MFG, which can push performance even further. Overall, a great card that’s relatively affordable when compared to the RTX 5080.
Excellent value gaming CPU
The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is one of the best CPUs for gaming from a price-to-performance standpoint. It was released a while back and reigned supreme until the Ryzen 7 9800X3D came out. But it’s still incredible when it comes to enhancing gaming performance. It features 8 cores, 16 threads, a high boost clock speed of 5GHz, and a massive L3 cache of 96MB. It’s the L3 cache that’s the standout here, as it’s stacked in a way that allows for more data to be stored, and for the CPU to access it faster. That results in much lower frame latency and overall smoother performance, especially at higher frame rates.
Plentiful storage and RAM
Some RTX 5070 Ti builds skimp on the storage to keep costs down, but this one has opted for a 2TB SSD and still remains cost-effective. That’s enough room for a massive gaming library of around 15 AAA titles, if you wanted to leave some room for other files. The RAM is also impressive here, coming in at 32GB and being 6000MHz, which is on the faster side. This will be great for running loads of applications at once, and for gaming, you should be able to handle open-world titles with ease, even if they’re heavily modded with massive asset libraries.
How will this PC perform?
From our research on other benchmarks for the RTX 5070 Ti, the card can easily hit over 100fps at 1440p at ultra settings, and in most cases, hits around 60fps at 4K. Of course, when ray tracing is enabled, these framerates will drop, so keep that in mind. In one benchmark, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty got 124fps at 1440p and 67fps at 4K. Star Wars: Jedi Survivor hit 112 fps at 1440p and 68fps at 4K, and A Plague Tail: Requiem got 122fps at 1440p and 68 fps at 4K.
Who’s this deal for?
Coming in at $1,849.99, this is a pretty good price for an RTX 5070 Ti/ 7800X3D build with an SSD this large with this speed of RAM. Anything under $2000 is a win with these types of builds. This is going to be great for anyone who’s primarily gaming in 1440p at ultra settings at high fps, but doesn’t mind dropping down to double digits when using ray tracing. For 4K, it’s good, but for ray tracing, the RTX 5080 will be far superior. For example, the RTX 5080 can hit 35fps at 4K with ray tracing on Cyberpunk 2077, and that’s without using DLSS 4 or MFG. Overall, though, this is a great PC that won’t completely break the bank and would pair very well with a QHD, 240Hz gaming monitor.
