Newegg deal cuts stylish all-black XFX RX 7900 XT 20GB to lowest price in 30-days
Table of Contents
Graphics card deals are rolling in this Black Friday, and we’re spotting a fair few at great prices at major retailers. Right now at Newegg, this XFX RX 7900 XT 20GB has a modest discount of $40; however, it’s at its lowest price in 30 days at just $559.99, making it even better value for money.
This graphics card is ideal for anyone looking for solid 1440p and 4K performance, and for those looking to get as much VRAM as they can without breaking the bank. It’s also ideal for a more stealthy, all-black PC build, thanks to its uniquely dark design aesthetic, which we’re huge fans of. For anyone looking for something cost-effective that still packs a punch in terms of performance, this is a great deal to consider while it’s at its new low price.
XFX Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XT 20GB GDDR6
Key features of this XFX Gaming RX 7900 XT 20GB graphics card
RDNA 3 architecture & 20GB of VRAM
This card is built on RDNA 3 architecture, which is the previous generation to the newer RDNA 4, but still boasts some impressive features designed for enhanced gaming, AI, and creative workloads performance. Some key features of this architecture include its 2nd-gen Infinity Cache, designed to improve performance and reduce latency. It also boasts hardware designed for AI workloads and has BVH traversal hardware for ray tracing, which essentially makes it easier for this graphics card to handle ray tracing computations. Additionally, you have 20GB of GDDR6 VRAM, which is older-gen, but still suitable for higher-resolution gaming, detailed textures, ray tracing, and reducing lag with demanding creative workloads.
Cooling system
This card features a triple-fan design to provide ample airflow and cooling to the GPU. These can stop entirely under lower loads, keeping operational noise quiet when using this card for less intensive tasks. Alongside this, it has a massive heatsink with a large surface area to whisk away as much heat as possible, a metal backplate for increased rigidity and added heat dissipation.
Gaming performance
We’ve reviewed an RX 7900 XT 20GB, and were very impressed with its performance at both 1440p and 4K at max settings. Check out our benchmarks below to get an idea of what to expect with this card.

Considerations and alternatives
The big thing here is whether you want something that’s very much ‘last-gen’ when it comes to its architecture and VRAM. We’d say for a touch more, you could go for an RX 9070 XT, which has 16GB of GDDR6; however, it is built on RDNA 4 architecture, and boasts features like FSR and overall performance improvements across the board, giving you excellent bang for your buck. You may also want to consider options from Nvidia’s 50-series lineup, which are built on Blackwell Architecture, and have the latest gen ray racing, tensor, and CUDA cores, plus features like MFG, which have the edge of FSR when it comes to enhancing gaming performance. They also have newer generation GDDR7 VRAM, too, although the cards under $600 tend to have between 12GB to 16GB max.
