What we like about this iBuyPower Y40 gaming PC
Excellent card for 4K gaming and high fps 1440p
The RTX 5080 is one of the best graphics cards you can get for your money right now, and excels at both 1440p and 4K at max settings. It has 10,752 CUDA cores, 16GB of next-gen GDDR7 VRAM, a 256-bit bus, 2295 base and 2617 MHz boost clock, and 360W power draw. It’s built on Nvidia’s Blackwell architecture, which means you’re getting some serious improvements when it comes to ray tracing capabilities and AI performance. Not only that, but you’re getting access to DLSS and MFG to push frame rates higher when gaming and make everything appear much smoother when doing so, too.
Top-tier Intel CPU
The Intel Core Ultra 9-285 is one of the very best processors you can get, and is known for its excellent multi-core performance and AI capabilities. While it’s common in gaming builds to see some of the Ryzen X3D models, this processor is a good alternative for those looking for something better for hybrid usage. If you’re a creative professional, for instance, then this processor would be our choice to pair with an RTX 5r080 build. It’s also got a dedicated NPU, which is not the case with 14th Gen processors, and makes this an excellent choice if you’re using AI in your workflows.

Good amount of RAM and storage
This build features a 2TB NVMe Gen4 SSD, which is large enough for a good-sized gaming library in addition to your other files, and fast enough that it will help reduce boot and loading times, too. You’ve also got 32GB of DDR5 RAM, which is more than enough for most people, but will come in very handy if you’re running loads of applications at once, or playing large, heavily modded open-world games.
Stunning design
What we love about this PC is the case itself, which has a two-piece panoramic glass construction, designed to give you an unobstructed view of its hardware. We’re also big fans of the aRGB you can find on the RAM, fans, and CPU cooler.
Is it good value for money?
Coming in at $2,499.99 with the deal, this is on the lower to mid-end when it comes to pricing, and considering it has a top-level Intel processor, it’s actually very good value for your money. This is a PC that’s as much a gaming PC as it is something for content creators and streamers, and unlike the X3D alternative builds, this will be far better for multitasking and productivity without breaking the bank.
How will this PC perform?
To give you a rough idea of what to expect, we can use our own RTX 5080 FE review and its benchmarks. Starting with Cyberpunk 2077, which is a particularly demanding game, the RTX 5080 was able to get 72fps at 4K and 35fps with ray tracing. For Indiana Jones: The Great Circle, a game that takes up a lot of VRAM, it was able to get an impressive 126fps at 4K. And for something that looks great, but also is best played at very high fps, Doom Eternal, it was able to get a whopping 256fps at 4K and 191fps with ray tracing.
