Black Friday may be just around the corner, but Newegg is making it pretty challenging to wait with deals like these. For instance, right now there’s a massive $750 off this ABS Eurus Ruby gaming PC, which slams its price down from $3,199.99 to $2,449.99. This is an RTX 5080, Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2TB gaming PC, so for under $2500, it’s very competitively priced with this deal, especially considering we’ve come across RTX 5070 Ti models for about $100 les,s and this build would blow them out of the water when it comes to 4K ray tracing performance.

What we like about this ABS Eurus Ruby gaming PC

Amazing card for 4K gaming

You’ve got the RTX 5080 here, which is one of the best graphics cards for 4K you can get, especially if you don’t fancy paying practically double for an RTX 5090. It’s built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell architectures, and boasts some significant improvements over the last-gen, such as faster and higher bandwidth GDDR7 VRAM, and new features such as DLSS 4 and MFG, which both boost framerates and keep everything running super smoothly, too. The RTX 5080 is a notable step up from the RTX 5070 Ti when it comes to 4K performance, and would be a good option if you’re looking to play at ultra settings with ray tracing.

Top gaming CPU

This build features arguably the best gaming CPU on the market right now, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. This processor features 8 cores, 16 threads, a boost clock of 5.2Ghz, and a massive 96MB L3 cache. As we’ve banged on about before, it’s the cache that’s the most impressive part of this CPU, and the feature that dramatically enhances gaming performance. It’s stacked in a way that allows for more data to be stored, and for it to be accessed quickly, too. This results in much lower frame latency, so gaming performance dramatically increases.

Substantial storage and loads of RAM

You’ve got a hefty 2TB SSD here, which is going to be enough for either a large gaming library or for hybrid use. It’s a Gen4 option, which is pretty standard with most builds now, but it should be fast enough to reduce in-game loading times and help optimize heavy-duty workflows, too. On top of that, you’ve got 32GB of DDR5 RAM, which is great for multitasking, running loads of applications at the same time, and for games that have huge asset libraries, like simulators or open-world titles.

How will this gaming PC perform?

You can read our full review of the RTX 5080 Founder’s Edition to get a more in-depth understanding of how this PC should perform, but here’s a brief overview of what to expect based on our testing. A great benchmark to use is Cyberpunk 2077, as it’s particularly demanding, especially with ray tracing. The 5080 got 151fps at 1440p and 68fps with ray tracing. For 4K, it got 72fps and 35fps with ray tracing. Using DLSS and MFG pushes performance even higher, mind you. Take Shadow of the Tomb Raider, for instance, which got 91fps at 4K with ray tracing, and 181fps with DLSS performance enabled.

Deals season is here folks, and Amazon has already kickstarted its early Black Friday deals! We'll be covering all the best deals in more details over in our deals hub, but if you haven't got time to read through those, why not see our top picks below.

Who’s this deal for?

This is a great option to go for if you’re looking for something powerful for 4K gaming, but around $1000 less than an RTX 5090 alternative. You could use this for heavy-duty creative tasks, like 3D rendering and video editing; however, we’d say the PCU is more suited to gaming scenarios in particular. Go for something with one of the new Intel Core Ultra CPUs if you want more of a balanced experience, and don’t mind a slight trade-off with gaming performance, as these have dedicated NPUs and higher core and thread counts, which make them much better for productivity.
