We’ve spotted a pretty hefty discount on a quality RX 9070 XT gaming PC that’s well worth checking out. Right now, there’s a $1,800 off this Skytech Gaming Prism 4 prebuilt PC, which has brought its price down from $3,999.99 to $2,199.99. Now, with any discount this large, we’d always advise taking it with a pinch of salt, but it’s clear that this is a great price considering what you’re getting. You’ve got one of the best graphics cards for 1440p and 4K gaming, one of the top gaming CPUs, and 32GB of DDR5 and a TB Gen4 SSD. On top of that, it’s housed in one of Skytech’s more unique PC cases, which gives you full view into its inner workings, and has aRGB throughout. We think it’s a great build that packs a serious performance and visual punch for under $2,200.

Skytech Gaming Prism 4 Desktop PC – AMD RX 9070 XT 16GB

Ryzen 7 9800X3D 4.7 GHz (5.2 GHz Turbo), X670 Board, 2TB Gen4 NVMe SSD, 32GB DDR5 RAM 6000, 850W GOLD ATX 3 PSU, 360mm ARGB AIO , Wi-Fi, Win 11

Key features of this Skytech Gaming Prism 4 Desktop PC

Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor

If you’re going for outright gaming performance, then the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is a great option to pair with the RX 9070 XT. It boasts 8 cores, 16 threads, and a boost clock speed of 5.2GHz, but it’s the large 96MB L3 cache that puts it a cut above the rest. This 3D V-cache is designed for more data storage for quicker access, resulting in high framerates and overall smoother performance. While it may not be as cut out for multitasking as some of Intel’s higher core and thread count alternatives, for gaming, you really can’t beat this processor for the price. Read our full review here for more details.

RX 9070 XT graphics card

One of the best pound-for-pound graphics cards on the market, and a great option for 1440p and 4K gaming. The RX 9070 XT has 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM and is built on the latest RDNA 4 architecture. It’s got enhanced ray tracing performance, AI capabilities, and newer features like FSR 4, which can be leveraged to boost perceived framerates in-game, much in the same way DLSS 4 can be used. While it doesn’t have some of the bells and whistles of the RTX 5070 Ti, its closest competitor, in terms of raw performance, it’s comparable, and often much more affordable, too. Take a look at our benchmarks for a deeper dive.

Storage and RAM

This build features 32GB of DDR5 RAM, which is a pretty standard amount for a high-end build like this. It’s also got a large 2TB SSD, which, again, is the norm when you’re spending this kind of cash. The SSD is a Gen4 option, so it’s not going to be as lightning-fast as the newer Gen5 offerings; however, it’ll still be snappy enough to reduce in-game loading times and allow for faster data transfer and improved productivity workflows.

Things to consider

For the price, this is actually very good, especially as it features the newer Ryzen 7 9800X3D over the older 7 7800X3D, which is often found paired with the RX 9070 XT. In short, for around $200 more, you can start finding yourself amongst the RTX 5070 Ti prebuilds, which may be more your bag if you’re looking for something a bit more versatile, with newer technology. Not only does the 5070 Ti have faster GDDR7 VRAM, but it also features 4th-gen ray tracing cores, 5th-gen tensor cores, and advanced upscaling in the form of MFG. On top of that, there are a few more features designed for content creators and streamers, such as 9th-gen Nvidia encoders and Nvidia Broadcast, which could come in handy, too.
