Key features and specs of this Gigabyte Aorus gaming monitor
Picture quality
This monitor is a QD-OLED, which is essentially an enhanced OLED that delivers excellent color, contrast, and brightness. Monitors like these are excellent for making games and content look vibrant and realistic, but they’re also excellent for creative work as they feature a much wider color range than your average gaming monitor. In this case, you’ve got 99% DCI-P3 color, which makes it appropriate for creative professionals who need something to accurately edit and design on. I terms of resolution, it’s QHD or 1440p, which at this size looks crisp and clear, without having to pay more for 4K or have a PC capable of 4K gaming, too.
Gaming performance
When it comes to handling high-framerate gaming, this monitor ticks all the right boxes. It features a very high 360Hz refresh rate, which will allow for over 300fps gaming, in addition to a very low 0.03ms response time, which will reduce motion blur and ghosting. This is vital for creating a super smooth experience, even with fast-paced on-screen movement, and also essential if you’re gaming competitively, as the low response time will allow you to track opponents’ movements more easily. What’s great to see, too, is the inclusion of FreeSync Premium Pro, which is designed to reduce screen tearing, stuttering, and enhance HDR gaming performance. There’s also a number of features designed to give you the edge, such as crosshairs, Black Equalizer 2.0, which helps reveal details in shadows without compromising overall picture quality, and a dashboard that doesn’t interrupt your gaming sessions, but allows you to monitor and optimize your display for optimal performance.
Burn-in protection
As expected from a high-end monitor, you’ve got burn-in protection in the form of Gigabyte OLED care. It uses an AI-based algorithm to basically ensure the screen doesn’t overheat, and Gigabyte also offers a 3-year warranty to give you peace of mind, too.
What type of PC build would go well with this gaming monitor?
This would go well with a wide range of PC builds, but to make the most out of both its refresh rate and QD-OLED display, you’ll want something that excels at 1440p, but can do so at ultra settings and handle ray tracing, too. You’re going to be looking at higher-end 1440p gaming builds for this, so something like an RTX 5070 Ti or similar would be good to pair with this. If you have a lower to mid-level QHD gaming PC, I’d say you’re better off with a 240Hz mini-LED option instead, which is going to save you a fair whack of cash and be more appropriate.

What are your alternatives?
This is really the top-end when it comes to 1440p gaming monitors, so if you’re looking for alternatives at this resolution and refresh rate, it’s really going to come down to things like the level of burn-in protection and overall design aesthetic. MSI has some very effective burn-in protection, and its designs are a little more eye-catching. LG Ultragear options are also great, and Samsung’s monitors tend to have features like CoreSync lighting and lean more towards sleeker, more premium-looking designs. Is it a good time to buy?
As you can see from the graph above, this monitor is back at its lowest price ever, and has been since November 1st. It’s a great time to buy, and we’d say, based on the specs, it’s unlikely to drop further anytime soon. If it doesn’t, we wouldn’t think it would be by much, and potentially be just enough to warrant the ‘lowest price in 30 days’ label on Amazon, but obviously, this is just a hunch at this point. If you’re interested in this monitor, you’re getting it at its best price ever right now.
