Missed out on this year’s Cyber Monday savings? Fear not, there are still numerous deals that are either still live or have emerged recently as we approach the holiday season. This Acer Nitro 60 gaming PC is down $450, reduced from $2,399.99 to $1,949.99 on Amazon, and is still at its best price ever on Amazon.

The Acer Nitro lineup is all about delivering great performance without a massive price tag, and this PC is an excellent example of that. At under $2,000, given that this PC packs a very good Ryzen 9 7900 processor, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 2TB SSD, we think it’s very competitively priced. If you’re looking for something that’s going to be ideal for 1440p gaming at max settings, with ray tracing, and something capable of handling 4K, too, then this is a smart pick to go for.

AMD Ryzen 9 7900 12 Core Processor | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Graphics (1406 AI TOPS) | 32GB DDR5 | 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD | Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax | Gigabit Ethernet

Key features of this Acer Nitro 60 gaming desktop PC

RTX 5070 graphics card

This build features one of the best graphics cards for those looking for something great for 1440p and 4K gaming, without the expense of the RTX 5080. As with all 50-series cards, you’re getting the benefits of Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture, which includes everything from 4th-gen ray tracing cores, 5th-gen tensor cores, and faster GDDR7 VRAM, of which this card has a decent 16GB. It also features DLSS4 and MFG, which allows for up to three frames to be inserted between two. This improves perceived framerates significantly, and makes for a much smoother gaming experience.

Ryzen 9 7900 processor

This processor may have been released back in January 2023, but it’s still an excellent option to pair with the latest and greatest graphics cards. Since it’s older, it also makes for a cost-effective pick, too. This AM5 CPU has 12 cores and 24 threads, which is a very good amount to have if you need something for heavy multitasking or video editing. For gaming, this card also excels, thanks to its very high boost clock speed of 5.4GHz and very large 64MB L3 cache, which should significantly reduce frame latency and benefit overall performance across the board.

32GB of RAM and 2TB SSD

You’ve got a solid 32GB of DDR5 RAM in this build, which is going to be good for gaming, multitasking, and for an overall responsive, snappy computing experience. On top of that, it features a large 2TB SSD, which can be used for a good number of large AA titles and denser media files without filling up too quickly.

Other standout features include this PC’s advanced cooling system, designed with U-shaped copper heat pipes and high-performance fans, its vibrant aRGB, customizable lighting throughout the build, and its tool-free design, which allows for easy upgrading without any stress.

Considerations and alternatives

This deal is actually very good, but the only real consideration would be whether the CPU is right for you. In short, the CPU in this build is great, but you’ll get better gaming performance with something like a Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Builds with this processor in will be a touch more expensive, but you can benefit from its massive 96MB L3 cache, designed to dramatically reduce frame latency. You may also want something with a dedicated NPU, which is a feature found in many of the Intel Core Ultra series options.
