What we like about this Lenovo Legion Pro 7i gaming laptop
RTX 5070 Ti mobile
This graphics card would be our go-to if you were looking for great 1440p gaming performance, as it features a significant step in terms of VRAM compared to the RTX 5070, which we think is certianly worth the extra spend. It has a hefty CUDA core count of 5888, 12GB of faster, high-bandwidth GDDR7 VRAM, a pretty large 192-bit bus, and a decent 847MHz base clock that can be boosted to 1447MHz to handle more GPU-intensive tasks. Since it’s built on Nvidia’s new Blackwell architecture, you also get access to DLSS 4 and MFG, which can be used to amp up the framerates beyond its raw power. In terms of performance, you can expect this laptop to perform very well at high settings in 1440p with most modern AAA games, ut it could be bottlenecked if you’re using ray tracing or pushing to ultra settings.
Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX
This CPU is often found in some of the best gaming laptops on the market, and it’s a great choice for those seeking something balanced for productivity, multitasking, demanding creative tasks, and gaming. It has a hefty core and thread count (20 + 20), high boost clock speed of 5.3GHz, and a large 36MB L3 cache, plus it also features a dedicated NPU with 13 TOPs for AI-accelerated tasks.
2.5K resolution display
This laptop features an impressive WQXGA, or 2.5K, resolution screen, which is OLED and has a 240Hz refresh rate. It also boasts 100% DCI-P3 color, making it excellent for professional creative work thanks to its wide color range and overall accuracy. It’s a good option for those who want to game at higher framerates, but also those who enjoy experiencing more graphically impressive titles at their best.
Legion Coldfront cooling
You’ve got advanced cooling in this laptop in the form of Lenovo’s Legion Coldfront: Vapor system. It includes turbo-charged fans, vacuum-sealed hyperchamber technology, and a 250W vapor chamber to keep everything running at its best, all the while doing so with very low operation noise, too.

32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage
The amount of RAM in this laptop is more than enough to keep everything running smoothly, even if you’re playing heavily modded open-world games, using loads of applications at the same time, or running RAM-intensive creative programs, such as Adobe Premiere Pro. Its 1TB of storage can hold around eight large AAA games, with enough room left over for other files, but we’d recommend upgrading to 2TB if you’re planning on splitting your time between gaming and content creation evenly, so you don’t run out of space too quickly.

Considerations before buying
This is up there with some of the best gaming laptops for the price, in our opinion, and it’s a super versatile option for both gaming at 1440p and content creation, too. In all honesty, there’s very little we can spot here that would make us think twice about going for this, as it’s also very competitively priced for an RTX 5070 Ti model. The only thing we could say is that there’s a pretty significant step up when you go for an RTX 5080 laptop in terms of performance, and in our opinion, these laptops are the best out of the 50-series from a price-to-performance perspective. If you’re a serious gamer or if you’re frequently editing high-resolution video or 3D modelling, we’d recommend investing in an RTX 5080, as these will be able to handle these tasks much better. There are plenty of RTX 5080 laptops on sale right now, so have a look, as they may not cost too much more than this model at this time of year.
