Perfect for 1440p gaming, ASUS RTX 5070 gets Spring sale treatment with decent price drop
Table of Contents
The prices of RAM and graphics cards have increased significantly, but we spotted the ASUS TUF RTX 5070 OC on sale with a decent 5% price cut. The asking price was $799.99, but right now it’ll only cost you $762.08. While this GPU might not get the love that RTX 5070 Ti or the RX 9070 XT gets, it is still a very valid option for 1440p gaming, and it can even handle 4K in some titles.
That being said, it should have DLSS 4.5 to pick up the slack, and later this year, DLSS 5 should further bolster its gaming performance. So, considering all of these aspects, we think it is a GPU deal worth checking out and should deliver a very comfortable and stable gaming output.

Why you should get this GPU
This graphics card has a solid build quality with robust internals such as TUF capacitors, chokes, and MOFSETs. These elements provide better stability and allow it to withstand higher temperatures. This results in better overall performance. It also features a phase-change GPU thermal pad that melts to fill the gaps between the GPU and the contact plate, transferring heat more efficiently without air bubbles.

If you’re wondering how this graphics card should perform, we’ve reviewed the ASUS TUF RTX 5070 OC and the MSI Gaming Trio RTX 5070 OC. The former is the exact card, but we’ll also showcase the output of the MSI variant so that you know the difference between the two, which isn’t a lot, as they are fundamentally the same cards.

This card had no issues tackling 1080p and 1440p games, but in more demanding titles like Cyberpunk 2077, it couldn’t handle native 4K. With the help of DLSS 4 and MFG, it could manage 4K in the same title with ray tracing enabled as well, so that should give you an idea as to how powerful the AI upscaling is. The productivity is decent, but other offerings easily outperform it.
