The JBL Grip is a compact Bluetooth speaker designed for people who want portable audio without sacrificing too much sound quality. Its small size makes it easy to carry in one hand or take along on trips, while JBL’s Pro Sound technology is designed to produce a bigger and more powerful sound than you might expect from such a small speaker. And if you’ve been interested in getting it for yourself, you’ll be glad to learn it has crashed to $64.95 on Amazon. This is its lowest price yet on the platform, providing a great opportunity for you to score it.

Key features and highlights of the JBL Grip
One of the main features is JBL’s AI Sound Boost technology. Instead of simply increasing the volume, the speaker analyzes the music in real time and adjusts its output to make the sound bigger while helping reduce distortion. This is useful because compact speakers have physical limitations when trying to produce loud audio. AI Sound Boost is designed to make better use of the speaker’s hardware, giving you stronger sound without making the audio become harsh or distorted as easily.
The JBL Grip can provide up to 14 hours of playtime, although the standard battery life is rated at around 12 hours before Playtime Boost adds another two hours. That makes it practical for day trips, outdoor gatherings, or long periods away from a power outlet.

The built-in ambient light is another feature that makes the Grip stand out from a typical portable speaker. The light is positioned on the back of the speaker and can display different colors and themes. Through the JBL Portable app, you can adjust the lighting and choose the look you prefer.
Durability is one of the biggest reasons to consider the JBL Grip for outdoor use. It carries an IP68 rating, meaning it is designed to resist both water and dust. It is also drop-proof from a height of up to 1 meter onto concrete. This makes it much easier to take to a pool, beach, campsite, or outdoor gathering without worrying about every splash or accidental drop.
The Grip also supports JBL Auracast, which allows you to connect multiple compatible speakers together. You can pair two Grip speakers for stereo sound, giving you separate left and right channels and a wider soundstage. You can also connect multiple Auracast-compatible JBL speakers to play the same music around a larger space.Â
Is this Bluetooth speaker worth getting?
The JBL Grip is a good choice if portability and durability are more important to you than having the biggest possible speaker. Its compact design, strong protection against water and dust, 12-hour standard battery life, AI Sound Boost, and ambient lighting make it particularly appealing for outdoor use and casual listening. The ability to connect multiple speakers is also useful if you expect your setup to grow.Â
