Table of Contents
This Sceptre curved 34-inch gaming monitor is currently at its 30-day low price on Amazon, coming in at $208.97. At that price point, you’re pretty much in budget-friendly territory when it comes to 34-inch monitors, which is great if you’re looking to control how much cash you’re throwing down. The good news about this monitor is that it doesn’t scale back too much in any particular area and does the basics well, especially for the price. It’s popular and highly rated on Amazon, too, with over 1,000 bought in the last month alone.
New! Sceptre Curved 34-inch Prime Gaming Monitor
So what are you getting here? Well, as with more cost-effective options, it’s fairly straightforward. It’s34 inches with a 1500R curve, coming in at 3440 x 1440 resolution. Immersive, a wider field of view, more real estate for productivity, and a great pairing with racing games, simulators, and more. Its refresh rate is 240Hz, which is appropriate for this monitor and its price point. It’s high enough to make everything look super smooth and allow for high FPS gaming, but without being so high that you’d need a pretty expensive GPU to make the most of it.
What about picture quality? Well, the good news is that its contrast is going to be higher than your typical IPS, as it’s a VA panel. It has a decent 3,000:1 static contrast ratio, which is not bad, and also has 100% sRGB color gamut. Again, not bad, but it’s not going to stand up to a mini-LED or OLED (which, mind you, would be significantly more expensive). Integrated speakers are a nice touch, and quite convenient if you want something for basic audio; its matte coating helps reduce pesky reflections and glare in daytime or bright conditions, too.

Should you get this monitor?
It’s more of a question of what type of setup you have, what kind of games you enjoy playing, and how much you want to spend. Someone with an RTX 5070 build who enjoys playing open-world games, racing games, and slower-paced, more atmospheric titles, and wants plenty of headroom when it comes to refresh rates should consider this. But obviously, the next rung up brings with it better HDR performance in the form of mini-LEDs and better color coverage, too, albeit for a big price jump.
