Powerful GPU: This gaming PC has the impressive RTX 4080 Super, which is still one of the best graphics cards on the market for 4K gaming and rendering. To give you an idea of gaming performance, when we tested it on Cyberpunk 2077, it was able to average 125fps in 1440p and 51fps in 4K natively, without DLSS enabled. So in terms of raw performance, it’s a bit of a powerhouse – and of course, cheaper than the 5080.
Top end Intel CPU: Even though the new wave of Intel processors were met with mixed reactions, they are still very powerful and ideal for gaming and multi-tasking. The Intel Ultra 9 285k boasts 24 cores and 24 threads, has an L3 cache of 36MB, and can reach up to 5.70 GHz. Notably, this processor improves upon previous offerings when it comes to efficiency, and impressed us in how cool it kept even while under heavy loads.
Loads of RAM: RAM is super important if you’re running loads of applications at the same time, have multiple windows open, or you just want a responsive and fast experience overall. This gaming PC has a massive 128GB of the latest RAM, DDR5, which is already around twice as fast as the previous DDR4 generation. That’s excellent if you’re using this for work, especially if you’re video-editing, rendering, or handling large amounts of data.
Massive storage: This PC comes with a huge 4TB PCIe M2 SSD, which not only makes for faster loading, savings, and more seamless cut-scenes in games, but gives you more than enough room to house all your files. Typically, a 2TB SSD would be enough for even some of the largest gaming libraries, so you won’t be running out of space any time soon.
Comes with a keyboard: This PC comes with a great-looking RGB keyboard, saving you having to purchase one separately. That’s good if you want to just dive right in and start using this PC, or just fancy saving yourself a bit of cash on extra peripherals.
Stealthy design: While some gaming PCs are a little more bombastic in their design, HP has opted for something a bit more understated here. This is excellent if you’re looking for something that fits well into more of a business environment, or you just prefer the look of something that’s a bit more minimal. The good news is that you still get a side window to the rig, meaning that all the high-end components are still in full view.

Who’s this gaming PC for?

Coming in at almost $3500, this is definitely a PC for enthusiasts, and those who want to play games at the highest settings in 4K, or 1440p at super high frames per second. It’s also great for those who work in creative fields, such as video-editors, who need something that’ll not only be able to handle heavy loads, but also make the entire process faster and more efficient.

I’d recommend pairing this with a 32-inch 4K gaming monitor, preferably something with a QD-OLED panel, to really get the most out of this. Heading towards the likes of Acer Predator and ASUS ROG is a good place to start, as there are excellent models which boast up to 240hz refresh rates too.

Overall, it’s a great gaming PC if you’re planning on putting it through its paces, but if you’re leaning more towards 1440p gaming, I’d say you can save a fair whack of cash by going for an RTX 4070 build instead, which should hover between $2000 – $2500 in most cases.
