It’s also an excellent card for power users, or those who are professional creatives and need something that can make short work of rendering or animation tasks. In terms of gaming, we can use our MSI Suprim SOC RTX 5090 review to give you a general idea of what to expect. With Cyberpunk 2077 on ultra settings, it was able to get 60fps at 4K with ray tracing enabled. For AC Mirage, it hit 149fps at 4K at ultra settings. And with Doom Eternal, it was able to get 269fps at 4K with ray tracing. The RTX 5090 is a significant jump up from the more affordable RTX 5080, and costs roughly twice as much, no doubt due to its 32GB of VRAM, compared to the RTX 5080’s 16GB. Overall, the 5090 is an amazing, future-proof card that’s well worth going for if you have the budget.

The Ryzen 9 9900X3D isn’t the most common processor to be found paired with the RTX 5090. We usually spot either the Ryzen 9 9950X3D or Ryzen 7 9800X3D in most cases, but the 9 9900X3D does bring something unique to the table, especially for hybrid users. Unlike the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, the 9900X3D has a higher core and thread count (12 and 24), making it much better for those who need something for heavy-duty multitasking or CPU-intensive workloads. You’ve also got a significantly larger L3 cache, which comes in at 128MB. This larger cache is excellent for reducing frame latency when gaming, and allows data to be accessed far faster than your smaller-sized options. On top of that, it boasts an impressive 5.5GHz boost clock speed, which is up there with the fastest on the market. Overall, if you’re looking for something great for gaming and are able to handle intensive workloads, this is a good CPU to have in your arsenal.

Skytech has gone all-in here when it comes to RAM and storage, with a whopping 64GB of DDR5 and a massive 4TB NVMe SSD. The RAM is also on the faster side, coming in with 6000MHz memory speeds. The SSD is a Gen4 option, which is very common even in high-end builds. Generally speaking, the only time we see a Gen5 is with the super premium builds from the likes of Corsair, for example. That being said, a Gen4 SSD like this will be fast enough to improve workflows and speed up in-game loading times, too.
