In our review of the ROG Astral, in terms of raw power, in Cyberpunk 2077, it achieved 59fps in 4K with Ray Tracing on at Ultra Settings, which is seriously impressive considering DLSS and MFG weren’t being used. When you throw them into the mix, this dramatically increases.

CPU

The CPU here is the top-end offering from Intel’s Core Ultra lineup, the 9 285K. We’ve reviewed this CPU and think it’s one of the best you can pair with the 5090. This CPU boasts 24 cores, 24 threads, and a high boost clock speed of 5.GHz, and a decent-sized 36MB L3 cache, making it a bit more suited for productivity tasks than some of the lower core and thread count options from Ryzen’s X3D lineup. If you’re a content creator, find yourself editing high-resolution video or streaming, then this CPU is an excellent option to go for.

Storage and RAM

For the price, it’s no surprise that this PC has a load of storage and RAM. It packs a massive 6TB SSD, which will be seriously difficult to fill even with loads of AAA titles and 4K files. On top of that it packs arguable some of the best DDR5 RAM on the market, Corsair Dominator, and 64GB of it, too. This RAM has a memory speed of 6400Mhz, which is in the sweet spot for gaming and ensuring your system is feeling as responsive as possible.
