Why we liked this gaming PC deal
Skytech is one of the largest names in prebuilt gaming PCs, offering a wide variety of PCs to suit every budget. This budget gaming PC has the powerful Ryzen 7 7700X processor powering various operations, and since it is an 8-core and 16-thread CPU, you should get great performance across the board.
It can be paired with the best graphics card without causing a bottleneck and handle intensive workflows, such as 4K video editing, without breaking a sweat. That being said, it shouldn’t be an issue with the RTX 5060, since this GPU is good for 1080p and 1440p gaming, and we’ve seen the 7700X handle low-resolution gaming easily in our review.
It managed 255 and 296 FPS in Days Gone and Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p low settings paired with the RTX 4070 Ti Super, and this graphics card is much more capable than the RTX 5060. That being said, the RTX 5060 has DLSS 4 and MFG to increase its gaming output, but for low-resolution gaming, it is great as it managed 119 and 87 FPS at FHD and QHD in Assassin’s Creed: Mirage.
Powering this entire build is a 650W gold-rated power supply unit, and the 32GB DDR5 should ensure that every task gets done efficiently without any lag or delays. It features a 1TB SSD, which is sufficient for getting started, but we recommend upgrading to a higher-capacity drive whenever possible.
Is this a good deal?
For the price, we think this is an excellent deal because the RTX 5060 is a solid budget GPU that can run almost any title at a lower resolution, and you should also be able to ramp up the in-game graphics with DLSS 4 enabled for better and smoother gameplay.
On the other hand, the Ryzen 7 7700X remains a very viable mid-range processor, capable of holding its own in the modern landscape, and you can pair it with a more powerful card without any issue. Overall, the combination of all the hardware in this gaming PC is very good and is appealing for the price tag.
