Prime Day is finally here, and it looks like it’s cracking time to score an RTX 50-series gaming laptop for less. When it comes to gaming laptops, the ASUS ROG Strix G16 lineup stands out from the crowd as one of the best ways to go if you’re looking for powerful specs, excellent build quality, top-tier displays, and eye-catching aesthetics. This RTX 5070 Ti model does all that and more, and it’s now down to its best price of the year on Amazon.
I’ll give you a quick overview of this gaming laptop, so you can decide if it’s worth reading on or jumping to our top gaming laptop deals at the end of the article to see what else is on sale. First off, the RTX 5070 Ti has 12GB of GDDR7 VRAM and is a very strong pick for QHD gaming on the go, and boasts solid content creation capabilities, too. That’s paired with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, which is a fantastic, high-powered all-rounder, ideal for gaming, multitasking, and handling creative workloads. This is further bolstered by 32GB of DDR5, of course, and everything is kept working at its best by its state-of-the-art, intelligent and powerful cooling system. The screen here is a premium 2.5K resolution Nebula display, which is amazingly bright, with brilliant color, and a very high 240Hz refresh rate.
This laptop brings a lot more to the table as you’ll see, but in short, this is the type of laptop that’s going to make for a powerful pick for QHD gaming, with excellent content creation and workstation capabilities. Coming in at $2,099.99, it’s pretty competitively priced, too.

What we like about this ASUS ROG Strix G16 Gaming Laptop
RTX 5070 Ti hits the sweet-spot from a price-to-performance perspective
This card is built on Blackwell architecture, boasts 4th-gen ray tracing cores, improved 5th-gen tensor cores, and exclusive features like MFG, making it truly a showstopper for QHD gaming and content creation. With RTX 5070 Ti laptops hovering around the $2,000 mark, you’re getting quality performance you can take anywhere, but without being anywhere near as expensive as an RTX 5080 laptop.
Intel 9 275HX is a very strong all-rounder
This CPU has 24 cores (8 performance and 16 efficiency), a boost clock of 5.4 GHz, and 36MB L3 cache, which essentially means you’re getting something very powerful for high refresh rate, low latency gaming, creative work, and multitasking, that’s also incredibly efficient, too.
Its Nebula display is a big win for gamers and creatives
These screens are super bright with outstanding color, coming in at 500 nits with 100% DCI-P3 coverage. That makes them great for daytime viewing and creative work, like video editing in particular. On the gaming front, it’s 240Hz wth a 0.03ms response time, which ensures you can play at high, competitive framerates with minimal motion blur.
It doesn’t skimp on RAM
You’ve got 32GB of DDR5 here, which is going to help reduce micro-stuttering when playing asset-heavy games, like open-world titles, and it will also assist when you’re working on large creative projects in applications like Premiere Pro and Blender.
Modest-sized SSD is still decent for most people
Unless you’re planning on building a huge gaming library, this 1TB SSD will still provide ample room for games and other files, trusting that you don’t mind the occasional bit of spring cleaning from time to time.
Full surround RGB light bar adds some visual flare
To go with its signature ROG aesthetic, you’ve got a customizable light bar that can be synced with this laptop’s keyboard, and other ROG peripherals, too.
Who’s this ASUS ROG Strix G16 laptop for?
Go for it if you’re looking for something outstanding for QHD gaming and content creation, that can make short work of practically any productivity tasks you can throw at it, and if you’re a fan of a laptop which actually looks like a gaming laptop, rather than something more stealthy and ‘professional,’ dare I say.
