Key features of this graphics card
When it comes to performance, while we haven’t tested this ASUS GPU specifically, we have reviewed the RTX 5080 FE, which can give us a good idea of this card’s gaming and synthetic performance. You can read more about both in our full review, but generally speaking, the card performs well at 4K in most modern-day titles (Cyberpunk 2077 achieved around 35fps) however, it’s when DLSS is enabled alongside MFG that you get the framerates you’d expect from a 50-series card. It also shows a decent, but not mind-blowing, uptick when it comes to synthetic performance when compared to the RTX 4080.
- Advanced cooling: Axial-tech fan, which features a smaller fan hub, longer blades, and a barrier ring for increased air pressure.
- Phase-change GPU thermal pads: Designed for optimal heat transfer and to enhance performance by lowering GPU temperatures.
- Dual Bios: OC mode comes in at 2640 MHz, and its default mode is 2617 MHz.
- Vapor chamber cooling: Further thermal solutions to help keep this card working at its best.

Who’s this deal for?
As you can see from the graph above, this card’s previous lowest price was significantly higher than its new $999.99 price tag, making it a great time to buy. This card is an excellent option for anyone looking for solid 4K performance, but for those who want to see the biggest performance uplift, we’d say it’s ideal for those who currently have an RTX 3080 and are looking to upgrade.
