Table of Contents
It looks like MSI has done a wave of discounts on some of its best gaming QD-OLED gaming monitors, however, there’s one that stands out from the crowd that’s currently at its best price ever. This MSI MAG 27-inch QHD gaming monitor is down from $679.99 to $599.99, saving you a solid $80 on Amazon.
Now this monitor is seriously good and would be ideal for mid to high-end PC builds. It’s also super versatile, making it great for different types of gaming, entertainment, and even creative work and productivity too. For the new price, it’s a big win in our eyes.

What we like about the MSI MAG QD-OLED QHD gaming monitor
This monitor basically ticks all the boxes, asides from 4K resolution which isn’t on everyone’s ‘must-have’ list anyway. Alongside its top-tier QD-OLED panel, it boasts an impressively high refresh rate for high fps gaming, a super low response time, and even a wide color gamut.
If you want to game in 1440p, but want something that will handle higher fps and showcase graphics at their best, then this is an excellent upper-mid range option to go for.
- QD-OLED: The very best of the best when it comes to color, contrast, and picture quality. This combines Quantum Dot with OLED technology, and are essentially the top dogs at the moment when it comes to monitors.
- High refresh rate: You’re getting 240hz here with a response time of 0.03ms, which should result in super smooth on-screen movement even at higher fps.
- DisplayHDR 400: A certification that can only be achieved if brightness reaches 400 nits minimum, and if the monitor can produce a wide color range. This is a good sign for content creators or video editors.
- Ideal size for QHD: 27-inches is absolutely the sweet spot to make the most out of the resolution. It’s one of the most popular options for most PC gaming setups.
- Versatile for different GPUs: This would pair well with both mid-range and high-end GPUs, if you prefer gaming in 1440p that is.

Who’s this deal for and is it the best time to buy?
As mentioned, this monitor has a very wide appeal in many senses, but is quite pricey even with the discount. We’d say that it’s a good call for mid-range builds and if you have a GPU that can handle 1440p at higher fps. It’s also going to be good if you’re keen on HDR and high contrast ratios, which is not really necessary if you’re a competitive gamer.
