LG ‎27GS95QE 27-inch Ultragear OLED Gaming Monitor QHD

1440p 240Hz 0.03ms DisplayHDR True Black 400 AMD FreeSync Premium Pro NVIDIA G-Sync HDMI 2.1 DisplayPort Tilt/Height/Swivel Stand Black

What we like about this LG Ultragear 27-inch OLED gaming monitor

240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time

An excellent refresh rate to have for a gaming monitor, and not overkill either for this resolution. This will allow you to game at up to 240fps at 1440p, which is about the level you can expect from some of the mid-range 50-series cards, for reference. All that means nothing, though, if your response time is too high, though, but thankfully, this monitor has a lower-than-average 0.03ms GTG response time. This will significantly reduce blur and make sure on-screen movement looks super smooth.

QHD resolution on a 27-inch screen

This is the ideal size for the resolution, and makes the picture quality look sharp and crisp. At the same time, it’s also good for competitive gaming, as it’s not so big that it puts you at a disadvantage with your field of view, as larger monitors can.

OLED display

The top dog when it comes to contrast and vibrant color, this is the type of monitor you want to really showcase your games at their best. If you’ve got a PC build that can handle ray tracing at 1440p at decent fps, then this is a great monitor to pair it with.

Amazing color

You’ve got DCI-P3 98.5% color here, which puts this monitor close to the level of some of the top monitors for creative professionals out there. Not only will this make your games look great, but it’ll also be more than suitable for design work, too.

AMD FreeSync Premium Pro

The highest level of adaptive sync technology you can get, and vital in reducing screen tearing and providing an overall smooth experience at higher fps.

Anti-Glare with Low Reflection Display

Many OLED monitors can be glossy, which looks amazing and does make colors pop, but tends to pick up a ton of reflections, making them only suitable for low-lit rooms. This has an anti-glare coating, which reduces this problem dramatically, and makes this monitor far more suitable for rooms with loads of light.

Who’s this deal for?

We’d say that, for $649.99, this is a good choice for anyone who’s got an RTX 5070 or equivalent PC build, but preferably something that can handle ray tracing at playable fps. In our eyes, OLED monitors are really for showcasing games’ graphics; otherwise, they’re not worth it if you’re just after the highest frame rates possible. You can easily get that with something cheaper, and it’ll more than deliver the goods. We’d also say that if you’re a content creator, this would be a good option to go for, too, as its color accuracy is very good indeed.
