Sharp QHD 165Hz gaming display
Rather than using a basic Full HD panel, MSI includes a 15.6-inch QHD display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage. The higher resolution produces noticeably sharper visuals than 1080p, while the fast refresh rate benefits competitive gaming by reducing motion blur and improving overall fluidity.
Effective Cooler Boost 5 thermal design
MSI’s Cooler Boost 5 cooling system combines dual fans with multiple heat pipes and a shared-pipe layout that efficiently transfers heat away from both the processor and graphics card. This helps maintain higher sustained boost clocks during extended gaming sessions while reducing the likelihood of thermal throttling under heavy workloads.
Good upgrade potential
Unlike many thinner gaming laptops that use soldered memory, the Katana supports up to 64GB of DDR5 memory through two SO-DIMM slots. Combined with its 1TB NVMe SSD, Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, USB-C with DisplayPort and Power Delivery, HDMI output, Ethernet, and multiple USB-A ports, it offers a well-rounded feature set for both gaming and productivity.
Who should buy this RTX 5060 gaming laptop deal?
The MSI Katana 15 HX is designed for gamers, students, developers, and creators who want strong gaming performance without moving into the considerably more expensive RTX 5070 and RTX 5080 laptop market. It is equally capable of handling AAA gaming, programming, schoolwork, streaming, and creative applications.
