If you’re looking for a quality graphics card for 1440p gaming, with capable 4K performance, then a build like this one with an RX 9070 XT is a great pick. This card is built on the latest RDNA 4 architecture and boasts 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM, improved ray tracing, AI capabilities, and FSR 4, too. In terms of raw performance, it actually trades blows with the RTX 5070 Ti in some games, making it a worthwhile alternative, especially considering it’s generally more affordable. Ryzen 7 9700X processor for an excellent price-to-performance ratio
You’ve got the excellent Ryzen 7 9700X processor in this build, which is a powerful and cheaper alternative to the popular Ryzen 7 9800X3D. It has a 5.5Ghz boost clock speed and a large 32MB L3 cache, which makes it excellent for high refresh rate gaming with low frame latency, and its 8 cores and 16 threads also make it a capable CPU for multitasking, content creation, and more. Notably, it’s highly efficient, with a 65W TDP, making it a smart choice for more affordable builds, as it doesn’t require a super-powerful cooling system. 32GB of DDR5 for snappy multitasking, productivity, and smoother gameplay
You’ve got 32GB of DDR5 here, which is ideal if you’re looking to reduce microstutters when gaming, especially with open-world titles, and ensure you have enough headroom for future AAA releases. While this is more of a gaming PC, this amount of RAM is excellent if you’re working on larger creative projects in Premiere Pro and Blender, too, which is certainly a plus.
2TB of storage for large gaming libraries
The SSD here can easily store a hefty collection of games, without you having to constantly manage it. With some titles tipping the scales at around 100GB nowadays, 2TB is a great place to start if you’re planning on enjoying the latest AAA titles and don’t want to stress about running out of space.
Things to consider
So, this CPU is great, but in short, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is going to be the better option if you want superior gaming performance, as it has a much larger 96MB L3 cache. From my experience, you’re looking at around $2,200 to $2,300 for RX 9070 XT, 7 9800X3D builds, but they’re also on sale a fair bit, too. Check this out as an alternative, it’s a CyberpowerPC RX 9070, 7 9800X3D build for under $2,300, and it’s on sale at Newegg. This would be a very strong option to consider if your budget allows.
