Table of Contents
If you’re on the market for a gaming PC that delivers next-level value for money and great performance, the AVGPC Whirlwind gaming PC is certainly worth considering. It is powered by the Ryzen 7 9700X and the RX 9070 XT, which is one of the best graphics cards on the market right now.
Currently, it is sitting at its best price in 30 days as it has a 5% discount that dropped it from $1,899 to $1,799. This is a decent $100 price cut, and considering the aesthetics and the hardware it has under the hood, we think this is a reasonable ask. However, if you’re up for exploring more options, early Black Friday gaming PC deals are also worth checking out.

Why we liked this gaming PC deal
To begin with, this gaming PC has great aesthetics, and the PC case makes it look even more appealing, as there is a display on the side that showcases the temperature and probably can display other system information as well. However, what really made it stand out was the combination of the Ryzen 7 9700X and the RX 9070 XT, both of which we’ve reviewed. To give you an idea of what these components can deliver, we’ll showcase the real-world benchmarks.

Ryzen 7 9700X
The figures we got were for the 9700X operating with a 65W TDP, but that has long since changed, and it can consume up to 105W.
- 325 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p low settings
- 240 FPS in Days Gone
- 8,199 points in the CPU-Z multi-core test
RX 9070 XT
The variant we reviewed was the ASUS Prime RX 9070 XT OC. So, even if you don’t get an overclocked GPU in this gaming PC, you can overclock it easily to get better output.
- Churned out 75 FPS in F1 24 at native 4K
- Managed 61 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K ultra settings
- Matched and outperformed the RTX 4080 in AI workflows
As you can see by this, these components aren’t to be taken lightly, and when it comes to tasks like 3D rendering, video editing, encoding, and more, you should get excellent efficiency and productivity with this gaming PC. It also comes with a 360mm AIO cooler to keep the 9700X cool if you overclock it and 32GB DDR5 RAM, which should enable you to run various applications in parallel without impacting performance.
The only aspect that we didn’t like was the 1TB SSD. In today’s day and age, 1TB is a decent starting point, but not the best, because the game and application sizes have increased exponentially. So, at least a 2TB SSD would’ve been preferred.
Is this gaming PC worth it?
We think this gaming PC deal is definitely worth it because, for the price, you should get next-level performance and incredible value for money. Basically, this is a mid-range gaming PC that can handle native 4K gaming and plenty of resource-intensive workflows without breaking a sweat.
So, that is very appealing and all the specifications are great except for the storage size as we discussed but in the early Black Friday SSD deals, you can grab one for less and eliminate this weak aspect as well.
