Choosing a prebuilt gaming PC can be a bit challenging, as there are so many options available catering to every budget. However, if you’re looking for a decent mid-range gaming PC, the Corsair Vengeance a7400 is worth checking out. It is powered by the Ryzen 7 9700X and the RTX 4070 Super.
It also has a humble 6% discount on it right now, and it’ll cost you $2,069.09 with this offer. The hardware inside this gaming PC makes it a reasonable option to consider, but we’d recommend you take a look at the early Black Friday gaming PC deals, as you might find better options with deeper discounts.
Corsair Vengeance a7400 Series Gaming PC
- The Ryzen 7 9700X is great for gaming and productivity
- The RTX 4070 Super has great 1440p gaming output
- The RTX 4070 Super is a previous gen GPU
- It only comes with a 1TB SSD
Why this gaming PC stood out
Corsair is a big name in the gaming industry, and a prebuilt gaming PC by it, featuring this hardware, was worth covering. The Ryzen 7 9700X is an exceptional mid-range processor, and paired with the RTX 4070 Super, you’re looking at solid 1440p gaming. We’ve reviewed both of these components and will list our findings so you’re aware of what this PC has to offer.
Ryzen 7 9700X
- It managed 17,290 points in the Geekbench multi-core test
- Completed 10 passes of the 7 Zip Compression 32MB test in 44.54s
- Managed 327 and 240 FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 and Days Gone at 1080p low settings with the RTX 4070 Ti Super
RTX 4070 Super
- Ran Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora at 4K with 74 and 60 FPS, respectively
- Same titles ran at 119 and 80 FPS at 1440p
- The HandBrake, the Tears of Steel 4K render averaged 154 FPS with a time of 1 minute and 57 seconds
So, this processor and graphics card should complement each other and deliver a good gaming and working experience. It also comes with 32GB of DDR5 RAM, which is more than enough for you to be able to multitask easily without feeling like the performance is taking a hit. The only downside is that it sports a 1TB SSD, which is good initially, but later on, it might not be enough. So, we’d recommend upgrading to a better SSD as soon as possible.
Should you get this gaming PC?
This is a good gaming PC, but for the price, we’d recommend you check out other options, as the newer card offers much better performance than the RTX 4070 Super. However, it is still a viable card for 1440p gaming and should stay that way for a good couple of years. Built by Corsair, this gaming PC features the H100i Elite AIO cooler, a 750W gold-rated power supply, and a B650 motherboard as the foundation.
So, as long as you’re okay with 1440p gaming and some 4K gaming, depending on the title, this is a good option to consider, but not the best, considering the price point.
