Huge 45% discount spotted on Samsung 32″ 240hz curved gaming monitor

Spring Sales may be heading our way, but it hasn’t stopped major brands offering major discounts on their products. This week, I’ve seen loads of excellent gaming monitors go on sale, like this Samsung 32-inch QHD, 240hz display. Currently, it’s reduced by 45%, knocking its price down from $799.99 to just $439.99. That’s a significant saving, especially considering what this monitor brings to the table.
The deal is live right now on Amazon, but based on my research into its price history via camelcamelcamel, it does appear to ‘rebound’ to full price quite often. It’s not the lowest its ever been, but it’s not far off at all, so if you’re interested it may be worth going for it.
In any case, here’s everything you need to know about this monitor, and more.

What you need to know
- DisplayHDR 600 – this is a certification which can only be achieved if certain parameters are met, such as having a screen that can reach 600 nits of brightness for instance. Most monitors at this price range and size are DisplayHDR 400, so this is a real win. These are especially good in well-lit rooms also.
- 240hz refresh rate, 1ms response time – 240hz is what most gamers should have in my opinion, especially if they’re playing competitively and at lower resolutions. 1ms response time is very standard across the board really, but it’ll mean that on screen motion looks very smooth even when going very fast.
- AMD Freesync Premium Pro – the highest level of adaptive sync technology you can get. This will vastly reduce the chances of screen tearing when gaming.
- Ambient lighting – Core Sync technology matches the color of whatever you’re playing, so you can really amp up the immersion.
- 1000R curve – the smaller the number, the more aggressive the curve is, so this 1000R curve is good for immersion, but still practical for watching movies or content.
Even though the monitor is a couple of years old, it still holds up today as a very viable option for most people’s setups. If you’re concerned about what QHD will look like on a 32″ display, I wouldn’t be. I would be if it were FHD, but at 1440p it should still look great.
I think there’s also something to be said about the design of this monitor too. This is a very premium looking monitor that you’re getting for a fraction of the original price, and it’s aesthetic is such that it can fit well into practically any room.
Is it the best time to buy?
Based on price history from camelcamelcamel, this monitor seems to go through a ‘low price period’ almost once a month, before bouncing back to full price. Sometime we find products that haven’t been at full price for months, but it doesn’t seem to be the case with this – which adds some urgency to the deal.
If you’re keen on it, I’d say your best bet is to go for it sooner rather than later, however, also keep in that Amazon Spring Sales are heading our way, which could see it drop closer to its lowest price of $319.00. It’s not likely it’ll go that low I think, but if you’re keen on sticking to a budget, you may want to chance waiting a bit.
