HP OMEN 16L TG03

RTX 5060 Ti Gaming Desktop, Intel i7-14700F, NVIDIA RTX 5060 Ti, 64GB RAM, 2TB SSD, Wi-Fi 6, Workstation for Music Production and Editing, Bundle with Lexar SL660 512GB Portable SSD

What is in this gaming PC?

Intel Core i7-14700F

The Intel Core i7-14700F is a good mid-range processor from the 14th generation. It is a powered-down version of the 14700K as it has a lower base and maximum TDP, slow clock speeds, and doesn’t have integrated graphics. Other than that, it isn’t unlocked for overclocking, meaning you can tune the core frequencies to run faster for better performance.

However, it does have the same 20 cores and 28 threads, and it should be able to handle demanding applications and gaming workflows without a hitch. Also, paired with the RTX 5060 Ti, it shouldn’t cause a bottleneck at lower resolutions.

RTX 5060 Ti (8GB)

The RTX 5060 Ti (8GB) is a controversial GPU, as the community has been demanding more VRAM, but the GPU manufacturers are still producing 8GB variants. That being said, it is still a viable GPU for 1080p and 1440p gaming, but anything above that would be demanding too much from it.

We haven’t tested the 8GB variant, but there are many online reviews available. We’ll leverage the review from TechPowerUp to showcase its abilities. When they tested this GPU, it managed 116, 77, and 35.3 FPS at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K in Cyberpunk 2077. What was surprising was that this output was better than what the RTX 5060 Ti (16GB) was able to manage, which was 114, 76, and 35.1.

While this isn’t a huge difference, it did manage to stay ahead, even if by a fraction, and that should tell you everything you need to know about this graphics card.

Portable SSD

This gaming PC comes bundled with a Lexar SL660 512GB portable SSD, which has read and write speeds of up to 2000 MB/s and 1900 MB/s, respectively. Not only does this give you more storage space, but you should be able to work directly from the SSD, and taking important information or projects with you on the go should be easy with this SSD.

Other hardware

This HP prebuilt PC comes with 64GB DDR5 RAM running at 4,800 MHz, a 2TB NVMe SSD, WiFi 6, and plenty of I/O for a robust and stable gaming and working experience. HP made sure to cover all the bases, and with this PC, you should be able to complete your projects and play games without any hurdles.

Who’s this gaming PC for?

This gaming PC is excellent for anyone who is looking for a solid mid-range machine that has robust hardware to handle everyday and intensive workflows. For gaming, this is an excellent option as the RTX 5060 Ti has DLSS 4 and MFG that should enable it to punch above its weight class if there is a title giving it some trouble.

When it comes to productivity, the 14700F should be able to easily tackle multi-threaded workflows without compromising performance, and these two components, combined with everything else, should deliver excellent output.
