You might’ve come across many Thunderobot gaming laptops, but the one we found is a bit different from the rest. This is the first offering that is Ryzen-based, meaning you’ll get an AMD processor, the Ryzen 9 9850HX, combined with the RTX 5070. The Thunderobot Radian 16S is designed for exceptional gaming performance and productivity, but also keeps energy efficiency in mind.
This 16″ laptop also features a display with a 2.5K resolution and a 300Hz refresh rate, making it very attractive for fast-paced gaming. It has a large 80Wh battery that should keep it up and running while the cooling system allows for a 180W release to deal with anything tough without the risk of overheating. These are only some of the features of this gaming laptop, and we would highly recommend you check it out.
Thunderobot Radiant 16S

Why this gaming laptop caught our attention
Ryzen 9 9850HX and RTX 5070 are a match made for pure excellence
The processor powering every operation in this gaming laptop is a premium offering with 12 cores and 24 threads, and a maximum TDP of 75W. This gives it high efficiency without compromising performance, the best of both worlds. Ryzen processors are more efficient, which should enable better performance across tasks such as media encoding, video rendering, AI, encryption, CAD, and more.

This performance beast is combined with the RTX 5070, a GPU that is ideal for 1440p gaming. It might not get the attention as other cards, but the gaming performance is solid, and it can even handle 4K with the help of DLSS 4 and has decent productivity. So, you shouldn’t run into any barricades with this CPU and GPU in your corner. Thunderobot claims that the full release for this GPU can go up to 100W, which is great, especially when you consider the cooling solutions in place, as a GPU needs both of these elements to be perfect.
Display that drives intense gaming and efficiency workflow
Like everything else in this gaming laptop, the display is also exceptional. The QHD+ resolution gives it a 16:10 aspect ratio. With more vertical space, the gaming and working experience is enhanced as you get to see more, but it goes beyond that. It only has 2.9% reflectivity, meaning that even if you’re outdoors, reflections and glare won’t be something you’ll have to deal with. It comes with professional color grading, making it ready to go out of the box for creative workflows.
A battery that doesn’t give up and a robust cooling system
The 80Wh battery is perfect for the components and should give it a long-lasting battery life. However, we’ve always mentioned that how long a laptop lasts depends on what you’re doing with it. If you have the speakers firing, full brightness, and gaming, it won’t last nearly as long, but with these aspects controlled, the output would be vastly different.
The Wind-Driven cooling system is another feature that we liked about this gaming laptop, as it allows for a total core power of 180W without thermal throttling entering the conversation. The ultra-thin silent fans drive more airflow while cutting the noise by 21%, and the redesigned cooling architecture with larger heat pipes efficiently transfers the heat away from core components.
