What we like about the Cooler Master NR2 Pro Mini ITX

Small, but mighty

Cooler Master has done a great job packing a lot of power into such a small case, and it’s ideal for those who don’t want something bulky for their setup. This comes in at just 18.25l, which is around the size of a shoe box, which makes it ideal if you want to have it on your desk, instead of a larger PC that may have to be on the floor, and out of sight. What’s more, you’ve also got a glass panel so you can see the inner workings of this PC, and that includes its great-looking RGB RAM, too.

A brilliant card for 1440p, and even 4K

The RTX 5070 Ti is a great graphics card to go for if you’re looking to game in 1440p at max settings, and even a little 4K with a few tweaks and the use of DLSS and MFG. If we look at some benchmarks, we can get a better idea of what to expect in terms of performance here. In Indiana Jones: The Great Circle, one review noted that it was able to get an impressive 123fps at 1440p (ultra settings, no DLSS) and 81fps at 4K with the same settings. This game is particularly demanding on a GPU, so it’s a good benchmark to get an idea of raw performance. When we add ray tracing into the mix, you’ll need to start using DLSS and MFG to get frame rates higher. With this review, they noted that at 1440p at Supreme settings with full ray tracing, DLSS quality, and max frame generation, it was able to average 150fps with the game. Overall, the consensus is that this is a very strong option for 1440p gaming, and fairly reasonably priced, too.

Amazing gaming CPU

The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is the go-to gaming processor for higher-end builds, and it’s often seen paired with the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090, too. It’s designed very much with gaming in mind, and features 8 cores, 16 threads, a boost clock of 5.2GHz, and a large L3 cache of 96MB. It’s slightly better than the previous Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which was once the king of gaming CPUs, and it boasts incredible single-core performance, alongside being able to drastically reduce frame latency thanks to its enormous cache. A very good processor to have in a build like this, and an excellent choice to pair with RTX 5070 Ti.

Who’s this deal for?

Cooler Master makes some of the best prebuilt PCs around, and due to the overall build quality and reputation, they’re usually on the more expensive side. But we think they’re certainly worth it, and discounts like this one are also worth jumping on while they’re live. If you’re looking for something great for 1440p at max settings and high fps, but also something that doesn’t take up a lot of space, then this would be an excellent option to go for.

If you’re thinking about an alternative, check out some of the RX 9070XT models available. These can be slightly better than the RTX 5070 Ti in some areas, and are well worth considering if you’re looking for something for both 1440p and 4K.
