Canon’s EOS R6 Mark II Mirrorless Camera is a great mixed-use option. Whether you’re keen on fast-action shooting of wildlife, sports, or other uses, the R6 Mark II is well-established. It’s a reliable tool for photographers, and a solid upgrade on the original R6, too. So what about its $2,300 list price? Well, it’s a fair bit cheaper now.
Thanks to a discount, the R6 Mark II will ship from Focus Camera LLC, via Amazon, for a price of $1,999. That’s a $300 (13%) drop, and substantially below what it’s regularly tracked at. So, if you’re keeping an eye open for your first mirrorless camera body, or even a replacement, this deal may be for you.
Canon EOS R6 Mark II
Why we like the Canon EOS R6 Mark II
Great for enthusiasts
This hybrid camera has a lot to like about it. Its DIGIC X image processor has the capabilities to support a mix of high-speed continuous shooting (40fps at 20MP) for action shots, as well as sharp, high-resolution stills, even during low-light indoor or outdoor conditions. It’s a flexible option for a flexible photographer.
Good support for video
The R6 Mark II supports both 6K oversampled, uncropped, 4K movies up to 60 fps, or Full-HD high-frame rate recording up to 180 fps. This is ideal if you need a camera to use for studio video, streaming, and content creation. It can also double up as a camera for recording vlogs while on the road. However, it’s not an action cam.
Excellent features
A well-connected camera, the R6 Mark II features built-in 5GHz WiFi connectivity, as well as Bluetooth 5, so you can easily send data wirelessly via your home network or to other devices. The Mark II is weather-sealed, so it’s no issue to use outside come rain or shine, and offers an improved battery versus the R6 for prolonged usage.
