What we like about this Alienware 16 Aurora laptop
RTX 5060 mobile GPU
This laptop features the RTX 5060 mobile GPU, which has 3328 cores, 8GB GDDR7 memory, 128-bit bus, and a 952/1455 MHz clock speed. It’s a good card for 1080p gaming primarily at high settings, and can leverage upscaling technologies like DLSS and MFG to push performance and achieve higher fps. It’s also fairly adept when it comes to content creation and AI/ machine learning thanks in part to its new Blackwell architecture and overall improvements over the previous generation. Overall, if you’re looking for something that can handle most modern AAA games well at FHD, but without breaking the bank, then laptops with this graphics card are a good way to go.
Intel Core 7-240H processor
This CPU features 10 cores, 16 threads, a boost clock speed of 5.2GHz, and 24MB L3 cache. It’s a well balanced processor that’s good for gaming, performs well for general use productivity, and, as with many Intel CPUs, boasts good efficiency. If you’re planning on using this laptop for gaming, content creation, and streaming, then this is a great procesor to have at your disposal.
Excellent screen
This laptop features an impressive screen for the price. It’s an LED, WQXGA resolution display with a speedy 120Hz refresh rate and 300 nits of brightness. It’s ideal for gaming at higher frame rates, and it should also look crisp and clear thanks to the slightly smaller 16-inch screen size. At 300 nits, it’s also a touch brighter than your standard laptop, which should be good for both color and visability in well-lit environments.
16GB of RAM and 1TB SSD
A more RAM basic offering, but one that’s still going to be good for multitasking, overall system responsiveness, and gaming. On top of that, the SSD is large enough for a handfull of AAA games to be stored, while leaving you some room for other files.

Stylish and sleek design
These Alienware laptops look super premium, and that’s largely down to their use of materials and aesthetic design choices. You’ve got an anodized alimunium lid, magnesium alloy interior frame, and satin finish on the outside, combined with a comfortable countoured design. For a gaming laptop it’s relatively light, too, coming in at 5.5lbs, making it much easier to take on the go.

Considerations before buying
For the price, this laptop delivers great value for your money, especially considering its overall build quality and premium design. While it can be used for creative work, it’s better suited for gaming, in our view. That’s largely due to this particular model’s color range being only 100% sRGB, and you would ideally need at least 95% DCI-P3 color if you’re a serious creative. It’s a very small consideration, but one that’s worth thinking about if you’re planning on splittin time between gaming and graphic design, for example. That being said, for gaming and everday usage, plus some light productivity, this fantastic for the price.
