Key features of this Thermaltake LCGS View Gaming Desktop

Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor

This processor is a powerhouse for those looking for a more balanced offering across gaming, productivity, and AI tasks. It features a large core and thread count (24 + 24), which makes it excellent for handling heavy multitasking, and a very high boost clock speed of 5.7GHz and a large 36MB L3 cache for excellent gaming performance. On top of that, it has an NPU with 13 TOPS for machine learning and AI-accelerated workloads. Read our full review here for a deeper dive.

RTX 5080 graphics card

One of the best graphics cards for 4K gaming without spending the big bucks on an RTX 5090. It’s a very good card for more demanding creative workflows, too, as it features a wide range of drivers and optimizations to enhance workflows in many of the most popular creative applications. On top of that, it has 16GB of new and improved GDDR7 VRAM, which helps to increase overall smoothness when gaming, but also reduces lag in more demanding workflows, particularly tasks like 3D rendering and high-resolution video editing. In terms of AI, it has 5th-gen Tensor Cores, which is a massive step up from the 40-series, and also features MFG with DLSS4, which can be used to significantly improve perceived framerates. Check out our full RTX 5080 review here.

32GB of DDR5 RAM and 2TB SSD

The RAM in this build is actually on the faster side, coming in at 6400MT/s, which is great to see. It’s also enough to handle demanding open-world or heavily modded games easily, alongside RAM-intensive creative applications, all the while giving you some headroom for future, hefty gaming system requirements that may be heading our way. The 2TB SSD is also a win, as it gives you enough room for both games and large media files.

Design and lighting

A great-looking case with tempered glass panels gives you a full view of the inner workings of this PC, much of which has customizable lighting that can be controlled via its pre-installed RGB software. The lights have some interesting patterns and effects, too, and can be completely switched off if you’re going for a more subtle look.

Considerations and alternatives

At $2,899.99, this is one of the more expensive RTX 5080 gaming PCs on the market, and that’s likely down to its build quality and recently released Intel CPU. This CPU is great, but we think some of the Ryzen X3D models are better for gaming, and sometimes cheaper, too. If your priority is gaming, then check out some of the builds with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D in them, but if you’re going for a more balanced offering for gaming and content creation, for example, Intel Core Ultra CPUs will have the edge.
