We’ve spotted an excellent deal over at Newegg that’s well worth checking out if you’re after an RTX 5090 gaming PC, but for a great price. Right now, this Cobratype Venom gaming PC is a whopping $1,100 off, bringing its price down from $5,299.99 to $4,199.99. Now, in terms of RTX 5090 gaming PC pricing, that’s actually quite affordable, especially considering you’re getting a high-end, but versatile processor in the Ryzen 9 9900X.
Cobratype Venom Gaming PC – Ryzen 9 9900X, RTX 5090
What we like about this Cobratype Venom Gaming PC
Top-tier graphics card
You’ve got an RTX 5090 in this build, which is essentially the best graphics card on the market right now. It’s an absolute beast, boasting 21,760 CUDA cores, which is around twice as many as the RTX 5080, plus double its VRAM, coming in at 32GB of GDDR7. The RTX 5090 excels at 4K and even 8K gaming, and can handle pretty much anything you throw at it. It’s brilliant for content creators, too, especially those who need something to be able to render in 3D. And thanks to its improved AI functionality, it’s excellent for tasks like deep learning, and its VRAM allows for handling much larger models, too.
Versatile alternative to an X3D processor
This PC features the Ryzen 9 9900X, which is a change of pace considering most RTX 5090 prebuilds tend to either have an X3D option or an Intel Core Ultra processor. But, it’s a good thing if you’re planning on using this PC for more than just gaming, as it features a higher core and thread count than, say, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, but still has a high boost clock speed and reasonably sized L3 cache, too. For reference, the 9 9900X has 12 cores, 24 threads, a 5.6GHz boost clock speed, and 64MB L3 cache. Overall, it’s a versatile pick that should serve you well for gaming, heavy multitasking, and content creation.

A good amount of RAM and a large SSD
This PC features 32GB of DDR5 RAM, which is more than enough for most people. This will keep everything feeling responsive, even if you’re running loads of applications at the same time, or have a ton of tabs open. It’ll also be good for some of the more demanding system requirements, and especially for heavily modded games with larger asset libraries, too. On top of that, you’re getting a 2TB SSD, which is, again, more than enough for most people. You can realistically have around ten AAA games on this and still have 50% left over for other files.
Stunning PC case
Probably one of the best-looking PCs we’ve come across, this Cobratype case gives you a full view of the inner workings of the PC and is ideal for those looking for a statement piece for their setups. It’s also roomy enough to allow for optimal airflow, which is much needed considering the Ryzen 9 9900X can get quite hot under full loads.
Who’s this deal for?
Relatively speaking, this is one of the more affordable, high-end RTX 5090 gaming PCs out there, which is very well priced considering its choice of CPUs. In relation to an RTX 5080 build wth the same CPU from Corsair, you’re looking at only about $200 more at the time of writing, and you get an RTX 5090, which blows the 5080 out of the water. We’d say if you’re going for all-out performance, some pretty eye-catching aesthetics, and aren’t too fussed about having a PC that’s mainly made out of the brand’s own components, then this is a brilliant deal to go for.
How will this PC perform?
We can use our review of the MSI Surpim RTX 5090 OC graphics card to give you a rough idea of what to expect, but it’s also worth checking out the Newegg listing, too, which gives you benchmarks for ultra settings with no ray tracing enabled. In our testing, the 5090 was able to get 149fps/ 4K with AC Mirage, 110fps/4K and 60fps with ray tracing with Cyberpunk 2077, and 110fps/ 4K and 149fps with ray tracing with Doom Eternal. With DLSS and MFG, this goes way higher, of course, but this should give you a good idea of how the RTX 5090 performs when it comes to pure rasterization.
