Xidax X-6 Series AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
What we like about this Xidax X-6 series gaming PC
One of the best CPUs for gaming
The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is a fantastic processor for gaming and is often found paired with some of the best graphics cards on the market. It has 8 cores, 16 threads, a boost clock speed of 5.2GHz, and a massive 96MB L3 cache. The sheer size of this L3 cache drastically reduces latency when gaming, since it allows for much faster data access. It’s a seriously impressive CPU, as we noted in our full review, and one that’ll be great at handling heavy-duty productivity and creative tasks, too.
An excellent GPU for 4K gaming
The RX 9070 XT is widely seen as one of the best bang-for-your-buck graphics cards for 4K, oftentimes offering an excellent alternative to some of Nvidia’s similarly priced options. We reviewed an overclocked ASUS version, which we can use to give you a rough idea of what to expect in terms of performance with this gaming PC. With Cyberpunk 2077 at Ultra settings, it managed to get 61fps at 4K, and 25fps at 4K with ray tracing. With Indiana Jones: The Great Circle, it was able to get 101fps at 4K at ultra settings. And finally, with Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, it got 100fps at 4K, and an impressive 168fps at 4K with FSR on. Overall, a very strong card for 4K, especially with this build coming in at under $2000.
Large SSD
While having a 2TB SSD is fairly common even in some lower-spec builds, it’s still far better than a 1TB option when it comes to storage. 1TB easily fills up, and often has to be swapped out, particularly if you have more than five AAA titles, for example. A 2TB SSD can easily hold around 15, alongside your files, which is more than enough if you’re using this primarily for gaming and light productivity.
Who’s this deal for?
At just under $2000, this is a great PC for anyone looking for something very capable at 4K, who doesn’t want to spend upwards of $500 more for an RTX 5080 prebuild. It’s also excellent value considering it features one of the best gaming CPUs, too.
