What we like about this Thermaltake gaming PC
An excellent gaming processor that’s great value, too
The Ryzen 7 7800X3D was the king of gaming CPUs a while back, and even with the more recent Ryzen 7 9800X3D and other X3D variants hogging the spotlight, the 7800X3D is still a brilliant processor to pair with high-end graphics cards. It has 8 cores, 16 threads, a boost clock speed of 5GHz, a large L3 cache of 96MB, and a 120W TDP. One of the big features is its ‘stacked’ L3 cache, which essentially triples the size compared to most of your other ‘X’ Ryzen processors. This makes for much faster data transfer speeds and massively reduced frame latency, making it ideal for gaming. From a price-to-performance perspective, this CPU is a real winner, although if you want something more for multithreaded workloads, you may want to lean towards some of the higher core and thread count options instead.
Popular, cost-effective GPU for 4K
The RX 9070 XT is a very good option to go for if you’re looking for something that can handle 4K surprisingly well, given the relatively affordable price point. We tested an ASUS overclocked RX 9070 XT, which we can use to give you a rough idea of what to expect in terms of performance with this build. Starting with Cyberpunk 2077, which is a pretty demanding game, especially with ray tracing enabled, we saw it get 61fps at 4K and 25fps with ray tracing. That’s not bad at all, considering we weren’t using FSR there, and it pretty much puts it on the same level as an RTX 4080. With F1 24, it was able to get 75fps at 4K, and with Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered and Indiana Jones: The Great Circle, it managed 100fps and 101fps, respectively. As you can see, it’s easy to see why this card became so popular, and it’s ideal if you want something that offers excellent bang-for-your-buck.

Eye-catching design
Thermaltake gaming PCs are some of the best around, and we’re big fans of this one in particular. The cable management is on point, there’s some great-looking customizable aRGB lighting on the fans, RAM, and cooler, and you get a full view thanks to the tempered glass panels. A brilliantly designed PC that we think will seriously elevate any setup.
Who’s this deal for?
Coming in at well under $2000, this is a great mid-way option between an RTX 5070Ti and RTX 5080 gaming PC, that’s well worth the money given that it also packs one of the best gaming CPUs on the market, too. And, while looks aren’t everything, there’s something to be said about the design of this PC as a whole, and we think that getting something with this type of build quality for the price is another big win, too.
